Oh, no. It was in March (24th, mark your calendars). I just had nothin' much to do so I fired up the XBOX I got for free back in February. Woulda played GTA:SA on PS2, but it's hashed. Found out that it was my nephew who poured (or possibly pee'd) something on it. I love toddlers!

LOL NV- toddlers are better than a navy seal team at destruction in limited time. We call little Wyatt Danger boy for his remarkable ability to find danger/trouble and get into it before being stopped despite constant adult supervision:)

Wait until you have to explain to a repair guy how the gallon sized peanut butter got into the washing machine...or my personal favorite. Called my aunt and could hear squealing in the background. apparently her 3 and 5 year old had opened a 20 gallon oil container and spread it on the kitcheen floor for their very own slip and slide...Julie said it took weeks before the house stopped smelling like a bucket of extra crispy/

I keep finding chairs pushed up against counters and the like throughout the house. Saturday my change can came up missing. When I found it all the quarters were missing. His mom used to do the same thing. But he left his shoes on my chair as evidence. Grandpa was wondering where he got three dollars for ice cream. Good thing I keep most of the good change in the truck.

What is it with toddlers and peanut butter?

When Carson was 3 he was watching a Dora The Explorer dvd and of course, I left the room. I came back to find his peanut butter sandwich wedged into the VHS tape slot of our DVD/VHS player. Why???

"Dora said she was hungry."

Yeah my little one is constantly taking the change from my change bin. I finally started putting it elswhere and giving her about half of what I have when I get home from work. She gets all the pennies and a few silver. She is happy so now I just pick it up off the floor or where ever when she is bored with it.

I still have a peanut butter playing problem. So much fun, eating peanut butter.
Peanut butter and honey sandwiches are the best.

Hey, and since the invention of the DVD, the VCR video slot is a convenient place to store an extra peanut butter sandwich for when one gets hungry!

See I never could get into peanut butter and honey it's too sweet. I like peanutbutter and a tart jam like raspberry... change thieving huh? I used to do that with my dad's change drawer ( with permission while doing the big eyed pleeeeease daddy)

I do love the Jiff chocolate peanutbutter, but the berry flavored one I truly loved disappeared...sigh, which is always the way with new products I love, no one else seems to.
Anyone else ever had a product you loved discontinued?

EDIT- plus the vcr keeps the peanut butter sandwich all toasty and warm

Actually, yes, I have had a favorite product cancelled...and you talk of honey reminded me of it. Hagen Daas used to make an ice cream called Honey Vanilla...heaven in a pint...and it only lasted on the market about two years. I was depressed for a long time after it's disappearance, even trying to create my own honey-vanilla ice cream with varying degrees of success (usually a huge, frozen chunk of honey wrapped around a spoon).

Here a recipe for honey vanilla ice cream
1/2 cup honey
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup half-and-half
1/2 vanilla bean, split lengthwise
9 egg yolks
1/4 cup sugar
1 cup creme fraiche or sour cream
Paper milk/juice container

In a large saucepan, boil the honey to caramelize it a bit and to get a slightly burnt flavor. Take off the heat and add the cream, half-and-half, and vanilla bean, then bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally to make sure the mixture doesn't scorch on the bottom. When it reaches a fast simmer (do not let it boil), turn off the heat and set aside to infuse for 10 to 15 minutes.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and sugar. Whisking constantly, slowly pour the still-hot cream mixture into the egg yolk mixture. Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon. At 160 degrees F, the mixture will give off a puff of steam. When the mixture reaches 180 degrees F it will be thickened and creamy, like eggnog. If you don't have a thermometer, test it by dipping a wooden spoon into the mixture. Run your finger down the back of the spoon. If the stripe remains clear, the mixture is ready; if the edges blur, the mixture is not quite thick enough yet. When it is ready, quickly remove it from the heat.

Meanwhile, half-fill a large bowl with ice water. Rest a smaller bowl in the ice water. Strain the mixture into the smaller bowl to smooth it and remove the vanilla bean. Whisk in the creme fraiche. Let cool, stirring often, then continue according to the directions of your ice cream maker.

Thoroughly clean the inside and outside of the paper milk quart container then cut off the top. Cram the ice cream into the container, packing it well to get rid of all the air pockets. Place in freezer for at least 6 hours.

No problem I justed grabbed my zip drive and looked it up...my mom's the recipe goddess:) It's a really good ice cream though and as long as you pack it tightly and give it at least 6 hours it's got about the same consistency and HagenDaas:)
