Hi, don't know if this is worthy of another thread or if I am just detracting from more important trains of thought but I was watching David Boreanaz's new series Bones ep 9 and one of the characters said to another, refering to a robot that does the oposite of what it is programed to do "...you ask ask it to take out the garbage and it watches reruns of Firefly". Just thought Id'd mention that there is another show which is plugging Firefly. In one of the eps (ep 15) Adam Baldwin stars which also helps plug Firefly.

Oh yeah I used to have a neopet....i wonder if it died..... This isn't a mass media reference but last time I went to a diner my friend and I just sat and quoted the lines at eachother. And on (of all places) the message board for the band Mindless Self Indulgence, I have found a few browncoats :)

That was cool. Also on the season premiere of The Unit the codename for the CIA operative at the beginning of the show was FIREFLY. It was repeated about 10 times. I didn't see it this week but Summer Glau is supposed to be in The Unit this season. I thought the shout out in the season opener was a good way to welcome her.

It looks like the word is being spread about FireFly. I liked the list of actors mentioned in "control factor". Non-mass media mentions of firefly, there is a notice board at my work which has a message on it and signs off with "shiny". Granted the person who wrote it is a known Firefly fan to me (they are the one who hooked on it to start off with) but not to most other people in my work place.
