How to spend the 'Versary:
Watch the bonus DVD for Planet Of The Apes 1 month beforehand. Do not watch the movie as it is missing from the rental case.

Then on Sep 30:
Watch P.O.A.
Be very disappointed.
Watch Serenity.
Be very much happier!

I don't get it..
The research, time spent on character development and research, rehearsals, makeup/wardrobe, scenery, props, budget, everything was there for that movie to be really good. Director, composer, Everything!

(Stops, looks at huge swath of devestation right down the middle of the film. Inspects tracks the size of an elephant's. Crouches, sniffs.)
Smells like Studio. Looks like they hit the script. May have taken some of the character arc and plot with it. Poor bastards never had a chance.

SOooo very very glad Universal apparently knows how not to muck up a good story!
