Greetings, folks. So it’s been a year since “Serenity” graced the big screen, and it also happens to be the day we at www.stillflying.net releases our newest episode: a rather appropriately-timed piece of work called “Lilac.”

“Lilac” is the 11th episode for Season Two of Virtual Firefly and our 18th episode overall (after having finished out Season One with 7 episodes).

“Lilac” is written by Katie Fiorino and directed by D.C. Washington. The ep summary goes something like this:

“Eager to mend fences with Mingo and Fanty, the crew heads for a small moon to pull a job, and Mal decides it's time for River to earn her keep.”

Those who might have missed out last episode, “Letters to Home,” should check that one out as well. “Letters,” written by Thomas Cohn and directed by D.C. Washington (D.C. has been very busy of late!) has been our best-received episode to date.

“With Mal on the verge of securing a big deal with Jorgensen, Jayne writes a letter home and one of the crew meets a face from the past.”

For those who are unfamiliar with the project, www.stillflying.net is a fan-based effort to continue “Firefly” as a virtual series in the form of episode scripts. For Season Two, we’re answering the question “How might the story of the movie have played out over the course of 22 episodes instead of 2 hours?”

Hope those of you who’ve visited before will stop by again, and those of you who haven’t will come on by and check us out! If you’re feeling a little low on the one year anniversary of the release of “Serenity,” I’d like to think that we’re the antidote for that. Come on over and let us give you your fix of “Firefly”!
