Ni-hao,

The Bedlam Bards are planning to host the Oklahoma Grand Shindig on the afternoon of Sunday, November 19th. The venue is the beautiful Tidal School Vinyard ( www.tidalschool.com), midway between Tulsa and OKC. Besides a Bedlam Bards concert, we'll have hors d'oevres, a wine-tasting (for those over 21), a charity raffle, and Browncoat trivia/costume contests!

Here's the catch: We need 50 stalwart Browncoats and/or BedHeads who will agree to purchase pre-paid tickets; otherwise, we can't reserve the space. In truth, tickets to this mighty fine shindig should cost a diamond the size of a testicle, but they'll be available for only $20. So far, folks seem excited, but we need a few more to stand up and be counted before this can be made official.

Sooo--if you're interested, please drop me a line, spread the word, and keep bumping this thread. You can't stop the signal!

Gah. This would be planned after I leave the state...shame on you!

There's a large faction of 'coats at TU, maybe you can put up flyers there and at the local pubs...Kilkenney's, Full Moon, Gray Snail. There's an official group in OKC, I don't remember the leader's name, but they'd be a good start. Try the movie boards, i think they have a thread there...or used to. I'd help but I'm nowhere near there...sorry.

Good luck, it sounds like fun.

Aw, man, I wish you could make it!

If you would post about it to your blog, I know a lot of people read that, and it would be a big help. Ask folk to drop me an email at fithelere @ Aol.com so that I can let them know how to sign up.

Take care,

Cedric

Tidal School Vinyard is right up the street from me... they've got some good wines, and always seem to host great events... but now they'll be hosting a bonafied shindig in honor of our favorite BDH's?!?

Count me in! I know a few friends who would probably want to go, as well...

I was looking on Tidal School's webpage, and didn't see any info regarding events in November, was I looking in the wrong area or do we still need more people signed up to make this a sure thing?

I'd appricaite any imput, as I'm very much excited about this event!

Thanks again, all ma' fellow Browncoats!

The good folks at Tidal School (who include some Browncoats, btw) asked me to put out some feelers and find out how much interest there is, which is what I'm doing with this thread (and posts in many other places).

Since the response is good across the Cortex, Tidal School will be putting the event on their website and will begin selling tickets online.

I'll let folks know as soon as the tix are available. This is going to be an amazing Shindig!

See y'all there!

It's official!

The Bedlam Bards will be hosting the Oklahoma Grand Shindig at the beautiful Tidal School Vineyards. This event will feature a Firefly/Serenity trivia contest, prizes for the best costumes, a charity raffle, hors d'oevres, a wine tasting, floating chandaliers, and a rousing concert by the Bedlam Bards. Tickets should cost a diamond the size of a testicle, but they're now available for only twenty dollars. (Tickets, not testicles.) Don't miss the ultimate Browncoat event in Oklahoma!

When: Sunday, November 19th, at 3 p.m.
Where: Tidal School Vineyards in Drumright, Oklahoma (midway between Tulsa and Oklahoma City) www.tidalschool.com
How much: $20, including hors d'oevres and wine tasting. Additional wine may be purchased by the glass. Don't forget to bring a little extra palaver for libations, the raffle, and other great stuff.
Why: Because Firefly fans are the shiniest people anywhere!

Important Data to Collate:

Tickets for this event are available online or through the mail up to one week before the event. Tickets will not be sold at the door. (The caterer gets crotchety if we change the head-count at the last minute.)

Also, attendance is limited to 100 souls, so get your tickets as soon as possible!

How to Order Tickets:

Oklahoma Browncoat Amber Bingham (who just happens to work at the Vineyards) is handling tickets for this Shindig. You can order with PayPal, or by sending a check, money order, or carefully concealed cash. In either case, be sure to include the following information:

Name(s) of Attendees
Number of Tickets
Address
Phone Number
E-mail Address

PayPal: leaghasybil@yahoo.com

U.S. Mail:
Amber Bingham
co Tidal School Vineyards
P.O.Box 747
Drumright, OK 74030

Spread the word,

Cedric

P.S. I was lying about the chandaliers.
