Just a bit of word fun for those others who also style themselves as a "Wordsmith".

Without using a reference material, a big brained friend or mental steroids, define the following word:

Thixotropic

The winner gets to choose the next brain-teaser.

One hint per player - meebe!

I worked at a company that had a young woman that wore corduroys every day. Zip Zip Zip! You could hear her walking clear across the office.

My guess. The study of anything Greek.

Ohhh, didja cheat Your example rocks!

WTH - A WINNAH!!!

Thixotropic - the property of various gels of becoming fluid when disturbed (as by shaking)

Hee hee - now it is your turn to pick a word you know - from your work, play or hobbies that is probably not known the general public.

OR

You can look one up!

Mini-explanation: I do prop molding and casting, so that is why I chose 'thixotropic'. When mixing the 2 componets for silicone it is ready to pour when it becomes thixotropic after through mixing.

Spin On!

I teach English. I have written a few things and had some success with my plays.

Having said that, I'm writing a fanfic now and it's crap: I can't get the accents consistent and I slip into kiwi vernacular rather than Mal's.

Actually, not quite asthma; though it can be used that way, it really is a posh way of saying tuberculosis. Easily close enough to "any lung disease. Your turn.
