First, let me apologize for not watching firefly when it was on TV. My sister asked me to watch Firefly but when I found out it was created by the guy who did Buffy, I decided not to watch. Buffy was way to juvenile. Then I saw the movie Serenity. Gee, I missed a good Sci-Fi show. I really like the charters and their interactions. Writing is very good and was not too juvenile. It is funny and light hearted but with some serious issues. So I added Firefly to my Netflix and watch the whole series over a weekend. OK…so the first episode was a little awkward but each proceeding episode got better and better. The last “Objects in Space” had lots of great emotion, action, suspense and pain.

I wished I had watch…maybe many other Sci-Fi fans would have watched if it was promoted better. Some how cowboys in space were fine accepted it was five hundred years in the future. Instead of cowboys…it should just been frontiers in space. Maybe when I saw the promos I just was not that interested. The promos made the show look childish.

Being a Sci-Fi fan I thought the setting was too odd. It look more like a hundred years into the future and not five hundred. Some how the setting is just off…and it brings down the whole show.
