I was looking for a 2004 calendar this past weekend (they are 50% off after Jan 1) and saw both Buffy and Angel versions. Just seeing those made me suddenly want a 2004 Firefly calendar.

I know there are companies out there who will make a calendar using any 12 images you send them, but there would be copyright issues using Firefly, of course.

Ahh, but wouldn't it be shiny...

(as Jayne would say, if whishes were horses, we'd all be eating steak)

It would be shiny indeed to have a Firefly calendar! What a great idea!

I'm making do with Spike at the moment. Oh, and Busted....

Book: “A duel?”
Wash: “With swords?”
Simon: “The Captain's a good fighter, he must know how to handle a sword?”
Zoe: “I think he knows which end to hold.”

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I think a calendar would be cool. I would sure like a Firefly one better than my company's calendar.

Gives me an idea to make my own damn calender (for my personal use, of course). Hmmm...might have to think about that...

They have calanders for everything else. My stupid City calander has the Mayor on it. Now I like the Mayor and thanks to him I have this great job putting people in jail and suing them and all that, but all things being equal I'd rather look up and see Jayne in his silly hat.

Just bouncing this idea back up to the top. From the previous posts, it seems that several people, including myself, would happily pay $$ for a nice hi-rez firefly calendar - that is if someone has the means to make a batch and sell them...

Then, the question would be, which 12 images would we want to use? (maybe make it a 16-month calendar - which might last until the FF movie comes out in 2005.

Maybe they could do a calender in conjunction with the movie. I have a 20-month Star Wars Episode 1 calender that begins when the movie comes out, and goes from there. Maybe they could make a 2005 calender with the airdate of the movie marked.

Or you could just do like I do, and have each Firefly background on your computer. I have a program that rotates backgrounds every four hours.

That whole statement just made me so HAPPY!!

and what a shiny idea...I think the Epson and I are going to solve my inability to find a calander I'm happy with. and here I thought i'd be doing great horses or something - sheesh! what kind of a fan girl am I anyway?

If you'll see my post in the merchandise thread, I already made my own Firefly calendar. I used 12 images for each month, so they are kinda like a collage.

I used screencaps, and the printer I used was low on ink so the color is a wee bit off but I think it came out nicely. Each month features the 12 character pictures and their name at the top and a quote from that character at the bottom (below the day squares).

Since there are only 9 characters and 12 months, I had to fill in the rest. 10 is Serenity, 11 is 'bad guys" (Jubel, Niska, Saffron..etc) and 12 is a collage of all 9 characters holding guns.

I like how it came out, but I'd like to see a slick professional one too. Of course, I'd still use mine for nostalgia's sake.

Or they could have a 14-month calender, one month for each episode.

I don't recall their being a Spike calendar this year. There was one for 2003 that I had, but didn't see one for 2004.

I have the Buffy 2004 calendar and it looks remarkably like the Buffy 2003 calendar. Still, bought it anyway - I'm a slave to my obsessions!
