Dark day, friend Kelkhil. Bo slipped into the Black just a little while ago. I'll have a Maize and Blue concoction if you please, and join me and we'll raise our glasses to the Big House.

I do think Michigan will win in a close one...(even though it hurts me to say it! )

Well, I feel your pain Hawkeye. But thanks.
*toasts Penguin*
I just cannot imagine the hype this will inspire tomorrow. There's the whole "Win one for the Gipper" thing Kelkhil alluded to. Dying the night before the biggest game of the year. The drama of him collapsing during a pre-game interview. And of course Brent Mussberger loved Bo, and Michigan Football (who's carrying the game tomorrow? Mussberger should be the only one calling it...); you should have seen all the news vans around Schembechler Hall. Channels I never even heard of. Lucky in a way, they can't harrass the widow: Millie's been gone for a few years now.

DTH, I wish I could have stopped by earlier to defend your comments. I saw a program about synethesia that had the people that you were referring to earlier. I'm not sure if I should admit it since there are so many disbelievers, but i do have a very minor ability. I've never had it identified as synethesia, but I can feel colors. It doesn't do me any good, but luckily it doesn't cause any problems.

I first realized my talent (or disorder) when I was playing "Pick Up Sticks" with 2 young girls. They were getting board with the game, so they came up with their own version. Close your eyes, pick up a stick, and say what color it is. After I'd picked up 8 sticks in a row and identified the colors correctly, I realized that it was a bit odd. Whenever I tell someone this story, they usually try to test me. I'm right most of the time. It's sort of like a bar trick.

Anyway back to the reason I came in the pub. I need a drink. *grabs a warm Guiness that Kelkhil has left up on the bar* I do love warm beer! *raises the bottle* Here's one for the BLUE! I can feel a win for the BLUE coming this weekend. (Actually that's not how my talent work. I wish it did.)

I'm not hiding I swear. I just passed out under the table over there for a while. *points to the corner* BTW, someone needs to mop the floor.

I'll take a whole bottle of bourbon and a glass please. Just got busted for speeding (72 in a 55). There goes my spotless driving record. At least the cop was nice enough not to nail me for reckless driving as well since he could have at that speed.

If anyone needs me I'll be back under my table.

Good idea, Penguin. Whimsy should not be behind the wheel tonight. By the way, I did see your relatives last night at "Happy Feet." It made me feel like dancing.

Edit: Yikes! I just realized those aren't dancing feet. Young'ens look away. Well, I suppose they are really HAPPY feet.

If you find yourself getting too worked up about stuff that isn't real (RP Threads etc), then go outside, breathe in some fresh air and try feeding the ducks. (Because ducks don't care about your politics, religion, skin colour, choice of music or even your haircut. They like everyone, provided you bring them food.)

It's such a shame that they don't. I know that the drop out rate would decrease if they did.

Thanks, Penguin and NV. I'm glad you liked the Happy Feet. I was going to delete them when I realize they weren't dancing in the traditional way, but then I thought they might be a funny addition to the Pub.

At 1430 EST, and especially on a Friday, I make myself scarce from the office, and don't usually get on at home until much later (or several days later, as is the case here). Sometimes I forget to say goodbye to you shiny folks. :)

At least you weren't busted for 79 or more in a 55. In most states (I know it is true in GA, happened to me for a 85 in a 55 ticket) they can revoke your license for going 24 or more over the limit. Still, ruining your record does suck, but it could be a lot worse. :hugs:

ShinyKitten - sorry to hear about the hangover, but I like the shiny avatar.

I think I will have a pitcher of Killian's, as I consumed several during the game this weekend and was reminded as to why it is one of my favorite beers. I should have ingredients today to make some Irish Red homebrew, and I will be starting on the D*C beer very soon.

Morning RIMG,

Are you up early or late ? I can't figure out this time thing. Anyway -sounds like you had fun this weekend.

I'm going to start up an industrial sized pot of the good stuff .It is Monday after all.

Sorry -but I don't do the cooking thing so early, so it's a cold breakfast buffet from me.

LA29 sets out cereal, bagels and the assorted sides to go along. And some Entenmann's for those with a sweet tooth.Enjoy !

I get up every morning at 5:20 to be at work by 6 (EST). The upside is that I am off at 2:30.

I suppose I could conceivably be up late, but that would translate into being up early when the sun rose (see my comment on such in the Imponderables, 2 or 3 threads ago). I am a bit zoned out though, as wifey didn't get in until 2 am ish and I couldn't sleep much before or after that. Meh.

Thanks for the breakfast, it will complement my instant cheese grits perfectly.
