I'm feeling particularly helpful tonight, so I thought I might try to assist our Captain- if someone hasn't already leapt on this. He just posted on myspace that he wants to go to Flan II, but the organizers won't get in contact with his "peeps." Read here:

I wonder how "special guests" to conventions are enticed to attend and made welcome (in general)?
Airfare, accomodations, honorarium, % proceeds, etc.?
[For the medical conventions I've directed or been a guest speaker for, the first three are the usual (no one paid for my autograph or a photo op, though

).]

Anyway, if Nathan had trouble getting a room, I can't imagine he'd be without offers from Flan friends, particularly the ladies.
Though if he wanted to stay up all night killing me in Halo, I'd go out and by an X-Box.

there are always parts of the contract which have to be fulfilled at different dates,
I don't know that the Flan organizers failed to meet a deadline or if Nathan's manager was only concerned about some detail, but it seems to have been straightened out now.
