Firefly is a weak show that was dropped after half a series and doesn't have the stregnth of plot to still be around in 45 years! also everyone who watches Firefly are young and unemployed who have nothing better to do than sit around on their backsides in their dressing gowns surfing the net - These are just some of the comments I have found about firefly on various message boards from shows such as Bonanza, Xena and Farscape. Why are they getting so angry? because we are coming out of the woodwork and voting like never before.

join us to send them a message by voting at http://richlabonte.net/tvvote/index.html on this "vote" day and on into the future.

I think it might be because all the mentioned shows had run their course and in the end they were not as popular as Firefly is presently. Poor writing and cheesy episodes pretty much kill the mentioned shows that I was a fan of.

Here are my commentaries on your post EvilBungle

Firefly is a weak show that was dropped after half a series and doesn't have the stregnth of plot to still be around in 45 years!

[ i'd be amazed if it held up for 45 years, I'd be happy with 25-30 years]

also everyone who watches Firefly are young and unemployed who have nothing better to do than sit around on their backsides in their dressing gowns surfing the net

[I'm 39, work a menial job, and I don't own a dressing gown .. so I guess I am outside the demographic *L*]

- These are just some of the comments I have found about firefly on various message boards from shows such as Bonanza, Xena and Farscape.
Why are they getting so angry? because we are coming out of the woodwork and voting like never before.

A weirdo calls himself \'Pisher\' is probably responsible for almost all of that. (See Firefly section of Brilliant but Cancelled.) Infact that excerpt sounds just like him. He accuses us of being \'Unemployed, with little better to do, and too young to know any better\', yet he spends almost all of his time typing all that bullsh*t.
There\'s one particular (now outdated) forum where he posted over 130 times inside a week, mostly to himself, and everyone of them about how Serenity failed at the box office The man needs medical help, after a short time on a forum with him, most people will able to see that.

I am 34 and work a pretty decent salaried position. Have been with the same company for 5 years and love what I do.

Know what I love more? Firefly...I guess I am old enough to know quality when I see it. I appreciate actual brainwaves when watching TV!!

BTW - Just voted myself ::breaks into hysterical crazy laughter::

I've visited the Bonanza board again:

I enjoyed this one:

This probably isn't PC either, but alls fair in love and war--and I love Bonanza and the firefly kids have declared war with their trash talk! If one of us Bonanza lovers knows how the kids are rigging their coputers to get their totals up, please share, even if it is by PM. I am confident they have figured something out. I doubt that 1300 people even saw Firefly when it was on the air for half a season!

It would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

I'm thinking we'll rise again!

i DO aim to misbehave

I'm so glad I didn't have to come in here and yell at anybody - that's a good strong eye-catching subject, that is.

I'm 29 (again ) and unemployed - I just quit my job because it was making me too tired to draw or write. Well, and I was working full time while going to school full time. Didn't want to ditch school, and I can always find another job.

So I guess that settles it. My Browncoat status is assured!

If you live in the Great Lakes region you have to expect it. We have had some good years, but we will get 10 inches of snow in just a few hours. All the youngsters get off from school and it becomes a holiday. So not so bad. Will see lots of snowmen tomorrow.

Amd I'm 42 and gainfully employed for the last 23. Apparently I'm also too old and stable to be a browncoat.

Not.

Maybe someone should explain to them that since most of their fans are retired, they have to expect a decline in popularity as the fan base dies off from natural causes.

Or would that be too mean?

I'm young, too young to hold a job, I spend every waking moment (not at school) on a computer. Hey, I guess that does make me an un-employed, mouse-potatoe browncoat....YAY!!!! Oh well, the geezers are old and absent minded, so they probably forget how to vote.

Resign as a VP.
