PADAVE

Hey everyone!, i have been a fan since last year when my dad got me interested in the Firefly DVDs and ever since i have been, interested in seeing the shows/movies all the actors had been in, and noticing them more. I too, feel like i want more Firefly, i even came up with the idea of maybe they could do a video game of it, but it would have to continue from the last episode so Wash and Book would be there. One question i often ponder is whats the deal with all these meetings only in UK or in Cali.? im on the East Coast, i'd like to meet Nathan or Alan and the gang too.

Welcome to the 'Verse! Glad you found your way home!
I am sure many others will be by to welcome you.
I also know what you mean about wanting to meet our BDH's. I am in Alabama, and I don't think there's ever been a Con in this State...although I do have easy access to DragonCon...have you thought about attending that one? Check here for info: www.dragoncon.org
It's in September, so there's plenty of time to get ready!

Again, welcome!

Welcome, PADAVE!

We're glad to have you here! This is a great site for meeting fellow Browncoats worldwide. I like to say here at fireflyfans.net, the men are friendly and the women even friendlier.

You aren't alone in your East Coast BDH isolation. Getting them here has been - problematic. From your name, are you in PA.?

Summer Glau will be at a Con outside of Baltimore in February, and I believe Jewel will be in Massachusetts...but that's about it.

We East Coasters who can't afford to fly to California or Atlanta (Dragon Con) have to live vicariously through the postings of fellow 'coats and their shiny pics.

Post well and post often. We look forward to seeing you in the threads.
Welcome home!

I did however notice, that Nathan and Adam had been to PA i think in October for some festival up north, but i caught it too late.

'Yes... this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... the land.' 'I think we should call it your grave.' 'Ah. Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal.' 'Hahaha. Mine is an evil laugh.

First...Hi, Padave! *waves* Welcome to our bit of the 'verse! Let me offer you a drink in welcome.

It's always nice to see new faces about the place.

Conventions. There have been a few out this end of the continent with a few of our BDH's (Big Damn Heroes) in them, but yes, by and large the big cons are either out west or in England. *pouts*

From your name I'll assume your in Pennsylvania. There's a Buffy/Angel con there called "Moonlight Rising" which sometimes gets some of the FF cast there (since some of them have appeared in either Buffy or Angel as well) and I think Nathan was there this past year. The web site to keep an eye on is: http://www.moonlightrisingcon.com/1024x768/homepage.html

I also believe there were some of out BDH's at a con in Toronto as well (SFX) that had Morena and Christina as guests.

This is a good place to keep your ear to the ground for events like that. Folks here are good about sharing info when it becomes available.

Welcome again to our home.

Howdy, glad to see new faces around.I'm also a newbie here, kinda. Been looking around for a while, just haven't posted yet. Love this site glad to know there are other people who love this show as much as myself. Lots of interesting threads, smart and funny people. Never much of a fanboy before but just can't let the magic of Firefly go, wouldn't want to. So welcome on board, and thanks to everyone for this site.

Welcome, PADave. Glad to know you found your way to FFF.net. Everyone above has given great ideas about how to find out if the BDHs will be appearing in your area. You can also check to see if there is a local Browncoat organization where you life. They would also be in the loop.

Welcome, Freemont. Nice to have you take the plunge on a first post. It is reassuring to find others that are in love with the show as much as we are. There are some great people on this site.

PADave and Freemont, if you ever need anything, just get on the Cortex and send us a wave. There is always someone around.

Welcome home, Padave (#23853)
and Freemont (#23337)
It's right shiny to have you on the crew.

Strawberries for each of you, for openers,
and mugs of Mudder's Milk. Then it's up
to the galley to question the buffet.

Fresh bao just being dished up!

Hang out here and you'll find out about all
the cons and shindigs and whatnot. 'Coats
are a friendly bunch and you won't be left
out unless by accident. :-)

Spread your love of the SereniFly 'Verse and
increase the crew, thus increasing our chances
of getting MORE story, more BDH action, etc.

I can't give you the crew, sadly, but here - have some virtual strawberries....(hands tub over).

Welcome aboard Padave - saw your comp of the video game cover - pretty shiny work. You're welcome in these halls anytime.

*pours another cup and passes it to Freemont*
Same goes.

As to the California question, in my experience, it easier to get the BDH's of any series out there, because most of them live there. That means the Convention doesn't have to pay for transportation or even possibly the hotel.

And if the con happens to be a Creation con, chances are pretty good they can charge more for the priviledge of going to see our BDH's. But I'm a teensy bit biased against Creation. It's because of them that MarsCon - the friendliest convention in Minnesota - was unable to engage Moreena Baccarin or Nathan Fillion.

They'll also be more than a bit rude to all. I'm more than a teensy bit biased against them. They're money-grubbing, radioactive pond scum.

WOW I knew everyone here was nice, this is great. But I don't wish to steal any thunder from Padave who started this thread. My apologizes sir... assuming you are a sir. Well before my foot does anything else dangerous I will go and watch "trash", one of my favorites.
Hey I just started getting "Buffy" and "Angel" on Net-Flix. Never saw any before. Don't throw anything sharp please. So far just make me miss the best 13 episodes of television ever. Of course, Cordelia is kinda funny. They are getting better in the second season. OK I am going to hide behind this bulkhead in the gargo bay while the throwing begins.

ROXYFREEFALL

Woman, you are completely off your nut.

Welcome to the fold Padave! Good to have you 'round. Of course, if you need anything count me in as help. See all the shinyness, that's why I love it here. I very much feel you're pain about living on the East Coast and not being able to get to a Con. I'm actually seriously considering just breaking down and going to one cause when am I ever gonna do it again. Anyways feel free to mill 'round, post a bit, mingle with all the lovely Browncoats. Have fun!

And a big Browncoat welcome to you too freemont! Hope you enjoyed watching Trash. Good choice, well, not that any of them would be bad.
