Possible Firefly reference on tonights "Bones"

On tonight's episode of "Bones" , the character of Zach Addy received the gift of a knit cap with ear flaps. It had a mohawk on top instead of a knit bob, but otherwise, it was "pretty cunning".

Anybody else spot this one?
