So I think the sales ends sometime this weekend. And I've been going back to two stores so I could pick up another Firefly. I got the last one at one store and the other store had already sold out.

So today, they are still both SOLD OUT of Firefly. One store had Serenity W/S still but the other did not even have a space for Serenity. Both stores still had Nathan Fillion's movie SLiTHER.

But the one store had a raincheck thing attached to Firefly's shelf space. I took it to a clerk and now I can buy Firefly for $18.99 until 01/29/2007.

The other store that had Serenity still did not have the raincheck thing. I wonder if people have to request that they print up the raincheck things.

SIRI

The first Target I tried was sold out. I got a raincheck from the customer service desk. You just have to ask.

I went to another Target and got a copy. Planning on going back to the first one and get another one with my rain check.

Glad to see it "flying off the shelves."

"Yeah, that went well."

Thanks, Siri,

Asking worked!!! I was able to get a raincheck right in the DVD department at their register in electronics/etc right next to the DVDs. I said I wanted a raincheck for Firefly. And he said the phone. No the TV series. Oh and he went and got the product number.

This means I'll be able to pick up Firefly and Serenity and Slither at the same store at the same time. Whoo-hoo! I figure there is a computer watching somewhere--maybe.

SIRI

Blockbuster had Slither and Serenity with the 3 for $20 pre-viewed DVD's for sale. While I like buying them new to support the continued volume - if I'm strapped for cash and want to keep on giving the gift (i.e., sharing with friends and potential new Browncoats recruits) it's nice to be able to pick them up a bit cheaper.
