Not sure if this has been discussed here before although it prolly has, but I am a newbie here. What is on the second disc of the Australian version of Serenity? Is it anything special or different that what we have available already on the US Disc?

Thanks
Matt

Yes, there are a lot of special features that are on the Australian disk vs. the US version. I'd recommend getting it.

If you have a New Zealand based friend, they are selling them for NZ$15 (US$10) at Whitcoulls.

Sadly I do not have a new zealnad based freind, and would the disc play on a region player? If there is anyone out there willing to help me out to get one I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks for all the info
Matt

As far as I know, the Australian disc is Region 4 and most probably won't play on a Region 1 player. You'll need a multi-region DVD player.

Or you can play it on your computer if you have a region remover type program like AnyDVD.

I have the Aussie edition too in the Shiny tin. Was well worth the cost and wait.

As much as I really want this set there is no purpose to it if I can't play it and I don't have an all region player

That really stinks!

Yeah, I got mine from ez dvd. With shipping, I think it came to all of $20.

This is the dvd player I have. You can set it to region 0. It just can't TELL you that it has that capability.

In answer to your question, disc 1 is both region 2 and 4. But Disc 2 is region 4 only, not sure as to why.

The contents are:

1. Joss Wheadon Q&A session filmed at F*X studios in Sydney
2. Extended Scenes - 4 extended scenes.
3. Take a walk on Serenity - A tour of the ship with members of the cast.
4. The Green Clan - A docu about the Green family lighting, cameramen ect.

I don't usually go for the extra discs normally but felt I had no choice with this one for some reason. Not sure as to why honest ;-)

Why have they taken the sky from ME
