We're pleased to announce that we've received a recipe from Michael Fairman, who played Niska in the episode "War Stories."

Overheard from a woman at the Saturday night party at Flan B, upon meeting Mr. Fairman: "Thank you so much for coming... I just had to meet you! You're the only actor who has ever made me scream in terror at a Hallmark commercial! What could be scarier than Niska selling Hallmark?"

(To see the commercial, click to the following and then go to "Holiday Digs"... http://www.hallmark.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/article%7C10001%7C10

Hope outing Fairman as Niska doesn't spoil his
budding career as Hallmark sweetie-pie.

What's the recipe for? Prisoner Goulash?

Ewwwwwwwwwww.

I could go with an ear *garnish* on something
(though supplies might be limited), but
"a la king" sauce is grotty and frankly intolerable.

A la *mode* would be super...
something crispy/sugary/apple-bitty
with the crunchy ear(s) in the top of the
ice cream, like wafers...

Too bad Steak Tartare Niska (great place for an ear decoration) wouldn't be well received in these days of goofy cow disease.

Oy! Sure glad I'd finished my dinner before I decided to check back here.
Maybe Cream of Ear Soup? (Wax beans added to the
garnish?)

I think we must have crashed Hallmark's server (the website is temporarily down). I doubt they have ever had so many people trying to watch one of their commercials online!!

Above URL didn't work for us... turns out the reason is the trailing slash is needed, but the forum software doesn't include it when you click the link. So cut and paste it into your browser instead.

(Doctroid, using Stinkingrose's account)

(It's OK, she's watching carefully)

DREAMWALKER

*First tenderize the ear, then pour the wine sauce over and allow it to marinate for several minutes. I recommend reading the works of Shang Yu as you wait for the ear to simmer to perfection.*

Wash: This landing is gonna get pretty interesting
