I'm not a native speaker, so I just know what I've been told. That is that "qing" is a more refined term, since it's ancient Chinese, and that "lan" is the modern term. Again, I've probably got it all wrong. I was wondering why they used the version of "qing" that they did--the more simple print version instead of the one with the proper moon radical. http://dryope.typepad.com/superfly/
