If that's the case, however, I must say that my definition of "vanilla" is far broader than that of the Firefly writer's. Simply being attracted to the same gender hardly disqualifies one as "vanilla". Seems like you should have to have far more exotic tastes to compare to than same-gender relationships to bring up the term.
