Amazon.com Founder Jeff Bezos , operating quietly under the guise of another endeavor , his BLUE ORIGIN aerospace company, has launched his rocket !

MISSION STATEMENT from the Official BLUE ORIGIN website :

" We’re working, patiently and step-by-step, to lower the cost of spaceflight so that many people can afford to go and so that we humans can better continue exploring the solar system. Accomplishing this mission will take a long time, and we’re working on it methodically. We believe in incremental improvement and in keeping investments at a pace that's sustainable. Browncoats from all around the 'Verse were enthralled to further discover that Mr. Bezos holds with the Browncoat Philosophy : " We've Done The Impossible , And That Makes Us MIGHTY " .

Mr. Bezos BLUE ORIGIN website features a Logo that includes a Map O' the 'Verse , Earth-That-Was , and two Mighty Turtles , with the Latin phrase , " GRADATIM FEROCITER " , which translated roughly means :

" Measured Ferocity " , another obvious reference to Browncoat Fandom !

Although at press time Mr. Bezos had not yet been reached by members of the Browncoat Signal Corps for further comment , Browncoats are still hopeful and expectant of further Revelations from the " Chuck Wagon Tent " at the Corn Ranch ; yet another veiled reference to the neo-classic Sci-Fi Western Cult Series , The Best Gorram TV Show That Ever Was , Joss Whedon's " Firefly " .

Not sure on that count . But keep in mind that Browncoats have sent Mr. Bezos an immense amount of Shiny Coin via his Amazon Operations .

" Deep Throttle " , was on hand to witness the Launch . He reports that during the ensuing festivities following the liftoff and successful flight , someone was overheard to ask a question of Mr. Bezos .

" Mr. Bezos , I was looking at the Coat of Arms of your Blue Origin company , and am curious about some of the symbology contained therein . Mr. Bezos replied , " I want to be the King of all Londinium , and wear a Shiny Hat ! "

The visitor seemed to remain puzzled , but a shout of " Huzzah " went up from among some assembled engineers , and then they shouted ,

" To Londinium , and Beyond ! "
