As a grizzled old vet of the first War for Firefly back in ot 2, it pleases me no end to see the surge in Firefly support from the new blood. Folks I couldn't win over last year are coming up to me now and saying, "my boyfriend just baught the dvd of Firefly and says it's even better than BtVS! I'm so excited to see it! This weekend we're just gonna watch the whole thing!" and someone at work has put "A Man Called Jayne" on his outgoing phone message. It's so much easier to get people to buy the dvd than it was to convince people to stay home on Friday nights.

Vive le Firefly!

Hey, hey, hey, don't be mean. We don't have to be mean, because, remember, no matter where you go, there you are.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

It really does make you all warm and fuzzy inside to see the outpouring of support and the confirmation from ME that the DVD sets are selling so well. The addition of so many new Browncoats here on the site shows how many fans are joining everyday.

I remember the days back in '02 & '03, the postcard campaigns, the letter writing, the Browncoat Drive, the online petitions. I am just glad to see everyone's effort and love of this show paying off.

I have been a fan of Firefly for a while. Well...since the first episode aired. It wasn't until recently that I found this board. I heard they were putting the show onto DVD and was doing some research. Preordered by DVDs and found out to my surprise that there was still a huge fanbase. I joined but never posted anything. But now I have a need to talk about Firefly. So here I am. I also want to hear the good news of a Firefly movie with the rest of you.

Anyhow, I recruited a new Browncoat the other day! He was skeptical at first but after watching the first episode he then borrowed my the first two discs and has been since quoting Firefly.

Oh, and play Cantr II at www.cantr.net.

Well, I would be one of those second wave Browncoats. I was in grad school in '02 and missed the initial airing of the series entirely. Now I own the DVD, just bought a Blue Sun T-Shirt, and am EAGERLY awaiting the movie.

Man, why in the world did Fox cancel this series?
