In case you haven't seen this already, check out the listing for Firefly on Amazon.com and notice the recommendations...specifically, the "instead of". Now of course, it'd be better with nothing recommended "instead of" Firefly....but "The Zone"? gotta be kidding me. So anyway, I'd encourage everyone to mark it as an inappropriate recommendation.

How? I see a way to mark reviews as helpful or not, but nothing to mark recommended items as anything.

Ok, in the "Our Customer's Advice" section (where these recommendations are), the very last link is "Let us know if any of these recommendations are inappropriate." Click there, and then hit the "no" button next to the offending entry

Why don't people start recommending Firefly under other DVD titles? That way customers would see Firefly recommended to them when they are browsing other titles. I was thinking Babylon, Stargate, StarTrek, and others could use Firefly recommedations under them. It's easy to do, just look at the other title, go to where it says "Our Customers Advice" and click on "Recommend an item". Just think if we all recommended Firefly under each item on Amazon's Top Sellers!

Actually, I'd recommend leaving it. Anybody passing by will know that it was a ridiculous suggestion whereas the original "instead of" suggestion was obviously made by some troll trying to discourage the sales of Firefly.

I've recommended it under:
Red Dwarf
Friends (Hey, it's an ensemble show)
Dilbert (it's an engineering thing)

Be careful though not to get carried away with the recommendations...wouldn't want to recommend Firefly instead of The Zone if you know what I mean
I've been recommending Firefly in addition to other Whedon shows.
For some reason, I wasn't able to figure out how to add a recommendation to Titan A.E. Can anyone figure this out?

while were at it somehow theres a reccomendation on the firefly pages over at imdb.com for "Roseanne" ... y'know ... the Roseanne Arnold/ Barr sitcom of the '80s/ '90s ... other than its an ensemble thingy where the characters are dealing with probs I don't see much of a connection ...

Joss Whedon's first job on television was as a staff writer for "Roseanne." So, since it's one of the five TV shows he's worked on, there is actually a significant connection.

It's pretty hilarious, and awesome, to see Firefly recommended under the "Friends" DVD box sets.
