So, I want to get a couple of Kanji tattoos, but I want to make sure I get what I actually want.

The first one is the verb live (with a short vowel sound) I think I'm having trouble with that one, because the same word can mean different things (depending on how it's pronounced).

The second one, I'd also like a little background on. I want to get the symbol for Joss. Originally, I was told that he is the Chinese god of Luck. I've done some research, though, and it seems like it might actually be a word for Idol, as in false God....

Can anyone help me out????
