With a top speed of 2 feet per second it might take a while to get anywhere.

But on the other hand, if you make some engine pods out of cardboard and duct tape them to it at night along with a sign saying "Watch Firefly" it could be a good marketing tool.

Like it couldn't really happen--what did they do with the ramp and engines?? Maybe they are just waiting somewhere for someone to find like the Ariel Ambulance.

BROWNCOAT1

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I just want to hit the lottery so I can have someone build me a full scale model of Serenity in my back yard, one that does everything but fly. Of course if someone can make her fly & I win enough in the lottery I am okay with that too.

Heck, if the lottery was big enough, I'd just have them build it as an actual house to live in.

Actually, I started working on some blueprints... but it's pretty hard to find the place where to build it when you live in a city... On the countryside though... that would kick sooo much ass!

Imagine the face of the salesperson walking up the front yard as you shout through the exterior speakers "Please go back into your car or I will blow a new crater in this little moon"

Could you just imagine doing it to a Jehovah's Witness? *giggle* And they thought our dogs were something to be afraid of. *smirk*

I'd probablly keep it as a backyard thing rather than a house where I live. I wouldn't want people in there constantly.

I would build a version of serenity to live in and suspend it from the bottom of the biggest bridge i could find

Think about the advertising
(not to mention the firefly stars noticing that i exist)

If I had the money to build a full scale model that flew I'd use it to give themed space cruisers. Think about, what browncoat wouldn't pay for a trip around the moon aboard their favorite spaceship. There'd be themed dinners (mystery meals and protein cakes), spaceball, and actors to play the roles of ship's crew. Just remember, the companion doesn't service crew.

You guys are crazy for wanting to build a 1 to 1 scale Firefly.

Hell, I'd build mine at 105% scale. Just so mine would be bigger.

Now, where did I put my synchronizers?

If I won the lottery, I wouldn't spend the money on building my very own Firefly, I'd spend it on financing another season or movie! Come on people! Give your virtual lottery earnings to the cause, cos only you can enjoy a personal Firefly, but another season/movie? That's giving to the community in an epic way, and think about the Browncoat love you would earn!

Mal gives control of the ship to Zoe...
Mal: If I'm not back in an hour, you come, and you rescue me.
Zoe: What? And risk my ship?

Yeah your right if in won 25 million dollars in the lottery (i still have to enter this one) you can bet that at least 5 (million) would go to support the cause

Actually, that's a cold plane, used for making the surface level, in preperation of paving. The "neck" is where the shaved off material exits, to load into a dump truck.

This is a paver: http://cmms.cat.com/cmms/servlet/cat.dcs.cmms.servlet.DynamicImageServ
