In The message you can see an unknown hand come across the windshield of Serenity. When Shepherd and Mal are talking on the bridge you start to see ice fall on the windows. In one part, you see someones hand grab a piece of ice and take it off the window.

Someone should have seen that. Any of you see it?

Hah, yeah I saw that posted somewhere else a long time ago and now I notice it every time I watch it. I imagine that it was just one of the props guys who needed to get some of the "ice" out of the shot. But you can see stuff like that in other episodes too. In the pilot I think there's a hand that reached out to move the end of the mule too. So really in any series there's bound to be some mistakes like that. No one is perfect.

Yup ! It's a ' continuity error '. A simple mistake that allows the viewer to Un-suspend disbelief...It's not supposed to happen , but sometimes it still does...
