when watching the commentary for shindig the one costume designer (i think) said the necklace zoe wears is like a wedding band to Wash (it represents her commitment to him)

well, that's all well and good but i was watching out of gas today and she is wearing the same stuff when she first meets wash :(

i guess since zoe herself never mentioned it in the series we can just assume that necklace means nuthin then..

anyway, just pickin...

To tell you the truth, I also remember that remark in the commentary, and the point being made that she never takes it off because it represents her commitment.
And then noticed in an ep (maybe Shindig when Zoe and Wash are in bed), that she is not wearing it.
So much for my obsessive compulsiveness ...
