I'm creating an Independent soldier's uniform for DragonCon (part of the 76th Battalion effort) and I thought it would be fun to have a can of beans in my bag, just like Tracey does in the war flashback scene in "The Message." I was able to see the label of Tracey's can somewhat on the screen, but not well enough to really read it, so I decided to make my own label. I went to a local Asian market to find a can of Chinese beans so I could have some idea of what characters to use. To my surprise, I found the actual can of beans used in the show! They didn't alter it at all. See a side by side comparison here (bottom of page):

I realized I should have gotten two cans so I could open one up and actually try the beans. The next time I'm near the market I'll get one and post a report.

Wow they actually sell canned beans in those chinese stores - the last time i went it one i nearly collapsed from the smells of things for sale that should have been in jars of formadyhyde.

(I'm sure that some chinese stores are quite nice but the ones ive been in - to put it politly, werent)
