I have been so impressed with the hospitality you guy have shown me since I joined your board last week, I have "gotten" you a little something.

In case you don't know me, read the thread called "A little help, please"

In keeping with the ideas on that thread, I have created a forum at Savesurface, just for you guys to hang out at, when you aren't here. (Of course, don't stop coming here. LOLOL) It's a place for you to discuss, with us, whatever new ideas you have for the future of Firefly, as well as give us your thoughts on what we might do to get more screentime for our show as well.

It's also just a place where you may tell us about your show (and hopefully increase DVD sales) or pretty much anything you'd like to discuss. No one will limit your discussions. I know, because I run the board. LOLOL

A few of you have already signed up over there, so I wanted to give you guys a place that feels like home on our board as well. It's a gift for the courtesy and welcome you have shown me here.

I hope to see you there (and here of course LOL) - Jstn

F-Bunny - LOLOLOL You guys crack me up.

OK I see that a lot of you have read this thread, but only a few came over and joined.

Perhaps you feel this is some sort of Reaver trap? LOL

Let me assure you that we operate a Reaver free zone over there and that "hanging browncoats" was jst an unfortunate turn of phrase.

The Surface/Firefly Alliance forum is a great chance for you to use our site to round up new fans for your show as well (read: potential DVD buyers)

Be aware that I intend to shamelessly promote our show to you guys also. There is no reason not to link our support together for these two quality shows.

I, for one. am already starting to save my pennies towards buying the Firefly series, having already bought Serenity.

So, fire up your shuttle engines, or whatever you happen to be flying round the 'verse, and take a quick trip over to the Surface site. This is one alliance you WILL like.

I'll land back here later today, with a challenge for you Browncoats.- Jstn

True as it is that it's a great way to promote, I haven't joined yet because this site is very much my 'home'. I'll get to it, I promise, but I don't know how much I'll be able to post, because I'm always, ALWAYS over here! It's wonderful of you to open your arms to us, though!

OK.I challenge you Browncoats to get ahold of the DVD (borrow it if you have to) or get Surface episodes from iTunes. Watch the end of episode 2 and the beginning of episode 3 and tell me that you aren't then interested in seeing the rest of the series.

Be honest, please. I'll bet you will really want to see more. I hooked two people on the show just last night doing this. They now want to come by my house for a Surface marathon.

C'mon give it a shot. It'll be more fun than dodging Reavers or the Alliance - Jstn

Jstn, I already know what its about as a friend of mine (and a fellow browncoat) was an ardent watcher of it, and has tapes of it she's willing to loan, but... I'm lacking the time to devote it at this time. which saddens me, 'cause it really did sound like an interesting show.

You can only do what you can do, F.Bunny.

I should mention that one of you guys came to my site and took my challenge (a few posts up)

As I predicted, his mind was blown and he is now dying to see the rest of the series.

Remember, the end of ep. 2 and the beginning of ep. 3. That should do the trick. That's only a few minutes of time invested. You will NOT be disappointed.

Hey, I can finally post again. Glad your website is up and running again, and that it recognizes my password, now. What the heck happened?

Ni Hoa W.N. - Thanks so much for taking my challenge. I knew you would like the show enough to want to see the rest.

When the Pates pitched the show to NBC, they told a shocked Kevin Reilly the demographic for the program was 6 to 60. As you can see they pegged that right, as your young son likes it and so do you. (He mentioned that at my site later, for any Browncoats, who are saying where did he say that? I know you Browncoats are a suspicious bunch LOLOL) I actually started Project Nim to preserve the quality time I spent with my 9 yr old watching it. And our website continues to have sign-ups from all over the age spectrum.

NBC really hadn't a clue what it had and let slip through it's fingers. With a demographic range like that, if they'd given it network support, it's my opinion that over time, Surface may have become one of the most popular shows ever on television.

As for the kind welcome, I could do no less after the one I received here. You guys rock, and I hope that even more of you will join us at our site and with any luck become Surface fans.

See you there,or back here, if it keeps working. LOLOL

You would have certainly heard of it had NBC not given it such miserable support, and eventually cancelled it, despite really excellent ratings.

Here's a link where you can read about it. Also you might ask a few of the Firefly fans who have joined us in the Forum I set up for you guys at Savesurface.com Some of them have taken my challenge and as a result have ended up buying the DVD boxset.

Basically, like Firefly, it was a quality show that was underappreciated by it's network. - Jstn

Ah, the sudden but inevitable stealth llama!
Good thing *I* knew about that critter and
was able to flank it at the exit.
*cackling of the bun is heard echoing down
the hall*
In case you didn't notice, Pi Day (3.14) is

Isn't the Peep thing for after Easter, when
there are so many floating free?

First, we have the swallows coming back to
Capistrano!

And don't microwave 'em.

Nope, blowing up Peeps now is best. It's like the salmon running. 'Tis the Time Of Plenty.

You have the swallows. We get the buzzards returning to Hell.

Yes, ma'am! No microwaving the buzzards. I don't rightly think I could fit 'em in there anywho.

You mean that after Easter they just lie around
on their sides, jaws grown into great hooks?
Ugh!

Hinckley may have it as well, but mid-May is the buzzard fest in Hell. Oh, and bun...buzzards are turkey vultures. They're just trying to slip past ya incognito.

remember--ya gotta leave room for expansion as you nuke 'em else ways you'll damage the nuker.
