Comments regarding the above monthly analysis:
By looking at the last column, you can get a feel for a show's likely-ness to be moving up or down in the rankings. For instance, BSG is likely to be the #4 show overall eventually, assuming trends continue. Big "assumption" of course.

For the first time since I've been doing this analysis, a show got more votes than firefly over a month; not a big surprise given Flattops daily and weekly analysis. On the hand, we are talking less than 50 votes a day, on average. I think if we pull our fancy, hand knit, yellow and orange caps on tight, we can turn this around in March.

Go get 'em Browncoats!

Nothing... we'll just sail on by. So far the Xena fans are the only ones who've been able to muster a consistent vote count even close to ours.

I think you're fooling yourself if you think that they won't try to muster up a vote to hold us off. I don't think it'll work; they don't have the voter base for it. But I think they could get enough votes to slow us down a mite. The Xenites...they're a different story. Them I worry about.

AveJan1 - average since January 1.

Back from the business trip... Work has decided to let me cut a break this weekend, so catching up on some of my fannish activities; but Monday will be back to Excessive OT, as we like to call it.

Some observations, Bonanza is about 21 days out from 200,000; while Firefly is about 23 days out (based on Feb 1 averages). We need to pickup about 100 votes a day to beat Bonanza to 200,000.

BSG is about 6 weeks out from top10.

If Roswell wants to stay in the top10, it needs to get up to 300 votes a day. QaF... would need to pass Rosweel -and- get up to 300 votes a day. One of the two of them is dropping out when BSG hits top 10.

Farscape is about a month out from passing Nikita.

Northern exposure and Cleopatra have both picked up voting to about the 120-150; I can only guess that getting near to the bottom of the top40 has inspired them. Hercules has picked up a bit as well. The next show to rise to top40 looks to be Highway to Heaven; at their current gain rate, by then Scoop is likely to be the bottom and be the next to be displaced; however, this is likely 4-6 months out and a lot can change.

Other news on the nomination side:
Mr. Rogers' continues to rise. Currently at 43 in the nominations poll.

To make a realistic run run at top40, a nomination show needs to be pulling in about 150 votes/day (or at least 70 and incredible stanima!). Currently H2H is the only show over 150, typically getting about 170. CSI Miami and Darkshadows are running around 90. Space 1999 has fallen about to around 50. The Waltons are rising with a regular vote around 50 but to make the big leagues they will need to find about twice as many votes. Wagon Train and Lancer (already in the top10 of the nomination polls) also get honorable mention around 50 votes.

That's all the news I have from the nomination side.

Very hard to predict. We are about 3 weeks from passing them. 12,000 +/- to go. They may rally up to about 800-900 votes in an effort to not be passed, but their goal, like ours, is to get to #1. If pursuit of Xena is not motivating them to get their vote up, us passing them is likely of secondary concern to them. But it is a rally point, so I will stick to my 800-900 guess-timate.

Once we pass them, don't be surprised if their vote rises a bit. I suspect there might be a few FF folk who won't object to throwing them some votes once we are ahead.

I'd say just the opposite is the case, actually. I think they know that they have no prayer of getting to number one. Not with the kind of votes Xena is able to put together. I'd say they're far more worried about keeping that #2 slot. But that's just me. Either way, I think we're going to see a bit of a surge from them once they see the whites of our eyes.

1086 that's cutting it mighty close (even for a weekend on our current form).

Xena's votes have been falling the last few days (& so have fireflys) we should be capitalising on their decline and hitting 1300+ regular. Come on Browncoats, we already know we can do it.

Yay! My one man mission to get California Dreams to top 40 just hit 1000+ votes (hey stop laughing, I liked that show ) Long way to go yet though....

The site has been having problems this past week; look at the "internal error?" thread here:

FLaTrich seems to think it is a problem with too much traffic to the site.
