Hi all! This is just a "hello and introduction" post. :)

I'm a shiny new Firefly fan! I only just started watching the series via Netflix DVD a few weeks ago, and finished off the run with Serenity last night. I then promptly ordered my own set of the TV-series and movie DVDs. :D I can't remember how I even heard about the show - I heard about it after the movie came out, and some comment about how it was based on a TV show that had a lot of fan support...thought I'd give it a try. ;)

I am a little bummed I missed the train, and only just found out about Firefly after-the-fact. Seems to really be something special, and so sad that I couldn't be around to help rally to keep it on the air when it mattered. But better late than never, 'eh?

I'm still bummed today to see the end of Wash. *sniff* The relationship between Zoe and Wash was one of my favorite parts of the series - it was really cool to see an awesome (sexy, romantic and loving) relationship "in the midst", as opposed to most shows which focus on blossoming relationships, or the "married, with kids, and don't like each other much" phase.

I also think the casting in Firefly is one of the things that made it great - every single one of the actors was top-notch in what they brought to the show, and really drew you in, 'eh? Bravo, bravo! And it's over already?!?! *sniff*

I saw someone mention in another thread "commentary from Alan Tudyk"...is that on one of the TV DVD's or the movie DVD? I somehow missed that...

Oh, and as soon as my newly purchased DVDs arrive, I'm going to watch the whole thing again. :D

The commentaries are on the TV DVDs, but not all of them - it should list which episodes on the back of the box set.

We welcome you to the crew... hunker down and wait.. we are waiting for news about the next film.. or TV series.. or whatever goody Joss has planned for us. And wherever it is and whenever it is.. the BDHs will be there too..

Welcome with open arms, Stonearch. And I say, better late than never. I'm a late comer myself, you could say, only having rented Serenity last year around April or May. I then got on line and found the massive following that is the Browncoats, purchasing the Firefly series on faith alone. What a pleasant surprise...
