Code sounds really nice. I must investigate the next time I venture into Sephora at my local mall. (Always dangerous; I never get outta there without dropping at least $100...

Hey I love Code...this is getting silly. Between NV and Jonny the majority of my perfumes are being eliminated. LOL
Also Jonny you can get it on Sephora.com for like $50:)
Well this morning I can't possibly upset anyone. I'm wearing Honey ..it smells like a cross between the actual honey and a little bit of musk. It's nice and subtle and doesn't cause the kids to keep coming over with excuses to sniff me like they do when I wear the sugar cane:)

Trust me. It doesn't upset me in the least. I'm just trying to, er, put out a warning for you Fatales out there. That said, Honey vs. Sugar Cane, I think either way I'd be coming over to stick my nose into your neck. or wherever you wear it...

LOL Jonny well I think perfume should subtly drift so that you smell it when you are within a foot or so of the person, but not in an overwhelming way, just a nice one:) However whenever I wear the sugar cane the kids crowd me a lot and then get all embarrassed for audibly sniffing me. Last time I ended up just making all kids ask questions from their desks so it didn't get all irritating:)I've pretty much stopped wearing it at school. My adult friends are much more round about in their sniffing so it doesn't present as much of a problem:)

Maybe it is economy of scale at its finest, JQ. I find the purchase of a $15K dining table incredibly wasteful. To me, and my income, the purchase of $100 worth of beauty products is acceptable.

To someone who makes a lot less than I do...$100 worth of beauty products would seem incredibly wasteful.

Besides...Husband is incredibly indulgent...

Geez. Now you sound like Hell's Kitten. Liking Zoe is fine. I like Jayne and I like Kaylee, thankfully for different reasons, but I'm not like either one. Except maybe a little of both sometimes. But that's beside the point.

I meant the quote. Why did you choose that particular quote. There are other really good ones to pick from. I assumed (as sigs most often do) that it was to tell us something about yourself or at least the persona you use. That you have what Zoe has when it come to being "with" you. (Husband only knows...)

Sorry if I got it wrong. (Of course I still don't think I'm wrong so I'm not sure how much an apology like that is worth...)

HUGS RIMG I'm so sorry sweety

Mav- I know just what you mean. Drives me batty that my sister spends $250 on jeans, but I can happily lay out the same amount for a spa day and all:) I guess it's just a priority thing. It's also why I tutor. Gives me cashy money that I don't have to account for and is also not part of our budget. Means I can be silly and buy a $25 lip gloss and not feel like I took away from something we budgeted for:) Sephora is my friend as is silvershake.com and DSW and with Bath and Body Works I have to empty my wallet and put in only the cash I plan to spend or I'll go wild and spend hundreds:)

Okay, good gorram morning everyone. For some reason I sem to have come back to a bein' a bit chipper despite having short sleep.

So in messaging with LA yesterday I made a confession that seems appropriate for the place and time.

I'm a horndog. No lie. I've been told recently that despite bein' all quiet and stoic something eminates from me and it is very obvious what is actually on my mind. I can't help it. And here's the problem.
It may be getting worse.

Who knows what I can do to subdue the obvious? The really sad (or good depending) thing is I heard it in my personal and professional setting.

Just lookin' for some balance. Seems I lack alot of interpersonal skills having been on the side of observing life rather than living it. Please excuse me if my questions are contradictory from week to week. I can offer the same excuses (goldfish memory, selective retardation, testosterone spikes, etc., etc.,), but I'm sure everyone else is just as tired of excuses as I am.

Its just hard to gauge moods of the women around me anymore. Most of it is my own fault though. I have to admit to being complacent towards the feelings of others more and more.

Curiousity satisfied?

I just wonder what that means? Is that like when I call someone sweetie pie or sweetheart? Or are they flirting with her?

FMF, I am going to assume that most everyone in your life has been called sweetie or sweetheart at some point (most if not all females in my life have been called some pet name or another, even those I wait on [which I do admit is somewhat unprofessional]). As for the woman who is treated differently, maybe she is seen as a cut above the rest, like an Untouchable or something. That, or maybe she has a man and the others don't want to do anything to upset him. *shrug* I dunno.

I've noticed the pet name thing seems to be more prominant south of the Masie-Dixie line--which ain't a line so much as a twisted curly-cue by the time it stretches between Ohio and Kain-tuck. (Of course bein' neutral, I guess the "proper" line would fall 'tween it and Tennessee. But to be completely accurate the line dont' stretch that far west. Maybe it just stretches Numfar west...) When I hear them "up here" it's usually from folks who came from "down there". That being said I don't think it sounds at all unprofessional. But that's MHO. Maybe pandering...naw just kidding. It's endearing.

As for the Special Lady, FMF, is there something other than the attention that sets her apart from the rest of the ladies? Is she gorgeous? Exotic? (remember, any kind of accent other than your own is frequently a turn on) Cyclopian? (pity factor)

Let me clarify: I think it is perfectly fine, and it is part of my routine when I am waiting on people. Adds a bit of Southern 'flavor'. Managers and the like don't like it because there is the random oddball out there that will complain about it, then they actually have to do something, which always makes them mad.
