FLYVOTE

I guess I've missed something - Where do you get the thread number?

And where do you get the number for member? What number is "FlyVote"?

I saw the thread number under community when it shows all the rooms of forums. It said 17999 when I was on, so this here is the 18000th

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

The number is at the end of the URL for your profile (when it's not your name) so you can find it by mousing over member names and seeing what URL comes up in the bar at the bottom of your browser. You can also type in numbers and see who goes with what number, but that takes a lot longer. I'm member 19974.

Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.

Thanks much, PhoenixRose! I would assume that "u" is shortcut for user. I just did a quick but of playing around and we have 25659 members as of this instant. It probably just went up... 1600 additional browncoats since I started. Quite impressive, really. Thanks!

And we're not alone in the Black... they're over 8000 members signed up over at www.serenitymovie.org and some of them have to be in addition to us ( cuz some of us have memberships over there ) and there are just lots of newbies and folks over on the skiffy board, and that means extras there and then there's all the other boards.

'Course the trick is to have all of us being active in the fandom. Or being in one place where they can see us being active in the fandom. Which always leads me back to the idea that if SciFi monitors the Skiffy board and we're all active over there in addition to over here and elsewhere, that they can gauge how many of us there are and how interested we are in seeing more Firefly/Serenity.

And since Universal owns SciFi..well, it's an opportunity anyway.

By the by the Skiffy board ( the SciFi board ) is here
