Okay, this might be a bit premature to ask but when do you think someone will get a hold of the movie script?y'see the reason im asking is i'll be attending a buffy/angel ny con at the end of this month and i would love to purchase a copy(remember there is a first draft that apparently joss scrapped so that the movie could perhaps lead back into a new show-that was posted here a few weeks ago--the point to this is i would love to read that version too)i know of a few websites-pix posters, scripthouse, and script-o-rama,but none of them have it, yet.anyway the point(there's a point?)to this ramble is to anyone outhere who may get a copy or already have a copy-let the fans know.i am just dying to read this new adventure of the crew of serenity

Ayuh. That should be quite the delightful little space romp.

Thanks ever.

There was a conversation here about it, but no script has been posted.

Apparently, Joss's v.1 script was intended to wrap up some loose ends for the existing fans; however Universal asked him to shelve that in favor of the v.2 script. V.2 has been written (and presumably will be the one filmed) with the idea of using the movie as a springboard for a new series.

That is all I know...

Not to put to fine a point on it, but there's a whole bunch of copyright issues on that. Any time you see a script at a convention, its usually stolen or fake, or its a transcript. The authors aren't getting the cash for their work, which in the case of unproduced scripts might be a way to get some return - there are a few occassions when production scripts are released for sale (B5 did it a few times), but beyond that, not so much.

I'd love to see the Firefly scripts, and would gladly pay a reasonable sum for them - including the unproduced movie script - in fact, I hereby start the campaign for this release, a la the Buffy scripts.

I shall now go and crawl back under my wet blanket
