The geeks are everywhere!! YAY!!!

Here is a review of 300 about 1/2 way down they reference Serenity.. now, it is appropriate, but there are many OTHER films the reviewer COULD have referenced... me thinks she be a Browncoat!

I disagree,yes browncoats and people who now about Firefly do appreciate Serenity more but everybody I know who has watched Serenity(half my college class,thats like 13 people) which by the way are not browncoats and only a few have seen Firefly all love Serenity and get it.

Darkfly I agree with you. I think the good thing about this mention is that 300 is the soup du jour.. and every time Serenity or FF is mentioned is a good thing, especially in places where a lot of ppl might read it..

I think FF and Serenity are far more accessible than the review intimates, but all publicity is good!!

But I do think it's slightly odd that everytime there is a tiny reference or mention, fans jump on it like crazy. It's a little weird.

Saw it mentioned recently in an article about Battlestar Galactica. The gist was 'and the only decent sci-fly in the last 10 yeas (Firefly) got canceled after half a season, so be glad there's something here now.'

And in spite of being the hardened, cynical gentleman I am, I was tempted to squee a little.

Actually I think I must be getting Jessified, almost had a wee tear in my eye after reading a long e-mail from a friend the other day, all she said was that life is fucking incredible
