Hey guys, I'm trying not to cross-post too much, but I have something here I really want to make known to everyone.

First off, for those not aware a company called Multiverse ( www.multiverse.net) has recently acquired the right to develop an MMOG based on the Firefly 'Verse (for those who aren't gamers, this would be a game like EverQuest, Final Fantasy XI or World of Warcraft). Check out their site and try to show support. They're counting on the Browncoats!

How many of my fellow Browncoats live here in Los Angeles? I would love to organize a concert: "The Musical 'Verse of Joss Whedon." Full orchestra, most likely the Golden State Pops Orchestra or maye the Santa Barbara Symphony. I would bring together composers like Chris Beck, Greg Edmonson, Bob Kral, David Newman, etc and make an all-Joss Whedon night featuring the music of Firefly, Serenity, Buffy and Angel.

But I need your help! For those in the area, would this be something you'd want to attend? How much money would you be willing to pay? I'm putting together a pitch, but this concert is for YOU. The more I can say about you the better chance of pulling it off.

Very organized group. You may have heard about the the cancelled convention they ran in 2006.

And yeah, that's a great story. I need the Browncoats on this one too. I've already started talking to my friends in the studio musician circles and the response is already picking up. Plus some filmmakers I've worked with over at NASA have started to rally to it ...

I'm sadly nowhere near LA, but you may want to head over to the old Prospero board and talk to Mr. Greg Edmonson, Firefly's composer, he may be interested in this event as well.

Hey Artcat,

I actually have some friends in common w/ Greg so I'm all good. My plan is to also involve Christophe Beck (who scored lots of Buffy and Angel episodes, including the great "Once More With Feeling" episode), David Newman ("Serenity"), Thomas Wanker (also "Buffy,"), Robert Kral ("Angel").
