My son's third grade class went to the Milwaukee Public Museum and my wife and sister-in-law went along as parent chaperones.

As my wife and her sister are standing next to a display involving space and the mars rover, one of my son's classmates (an eight year old girl) says "That ship makes me think of Wash's ship". My wife asks "what did you say?" in disbelief and the girl repeats what she said and adds that "It's a shame Wash had to die".

My wife was literally flabbergasted as we have already learned it's sometimes hard to find people who even know anything about the show....and here's a little girl with this comment out of the blue.

We got a big laugh out of it, and I've decided that I have to talk with her parents and congratulate them for instilling good taste in their children (though 8 is probably a little young for some of the show's content).

SHAMELESS

That's just awesome. And here I was wondering what would happen with the next generation - would they appreciate it, or ignore it?

------------------------------------------
RPG launcher bought in third world country illegally - $10
Landmines - $50 per
Attack/track dogs bred 1st class - $250-500 per
Highpowered assault rifles - $600 per
The look on your face when I show up on your doorstep with a bigfoot - ... Priceless

Can't stop the signal."

Yeah, my kids floored me last night!

"Wook! Bu-u-fie!"
"No, Firefly," My six year old son corrects her.

Apparently she (at 2 years old) was listening last week when her brother called it Firefly, she just couldn't remember the bug's name.

I'm still amazed she could associate the theme song with the show, and even more so that my son knows the music by heart.
