Is anyone else getting this mass amount of rain that I am? I actually love it, rain makes me happy. Yes, I know I'm a freak.

TRAVELER

In the low 30's and dry in Milwaukee. We had some days in the fifties and sixties that melted most of the snow.

Some fools thought they would go canoeing. They lost control from the fast moving water and one of them spent half an hour clinging to a tree before being pulled out. Not to mention the temperature the water must have been. He could have froze to death.

SHAMELESS

I'm just jumping right in - won't be posting an insane amount, due to the fact that I need to try to pay a certain amount of attention to my real life, but...

So I just got a free lovebird from a member of the peasants guild I'm in at ren faire (I volunteer as an actor - aka somebody dressed/speaking in period to add ambiance), since her mother's moving to Mexico and can't bring him along. He's adorable, and I considered naming him after a character in Firefly, but my love for LotR has been almost neglected since I became a browncoat, so he is no longer Big Bird - he is Toby. I have yet to choose a hobbit surname.

Anyways, hiya!

Landmines - $50 per
Attack/track dogs bred 1st class - $250-500 per
Highpowered assault rifles - $600 per

mornin' Imponderables.

Asorta, it seems that on the weekends it is hit-or-miss, and I imagine a lot of folks were drinking and not posting on St. Patty's (and recovering yesterday).

I had my share of Guinness (including being the first person to beat Tristan doing a carbomb ) and Jameson, and we watched Boondock Saints and Done The Impossible. A good weekend was had by all.

Did I mention that sister made corned beef (I have changed my stance on it BTW), colcannon, and soda bread for us for Saturday dinner. It was spectacularly shiny.

Morning, Everyone.

We had corned beef too, and my crazy son decided he hated it. Now, he hates potatoes and corned beef. What kind of Irishman hates those two?

Otherwise, an excellent weekend.

Sounds like you had a good time at Tristan's, RIMG. Glad you had fun! Car bombs, eh?

This morning's song on the way to daycare - Dashboard by Modest Mouse. My son decided he loves Modest Mouse!

msg- okay, I went to actually place my Marks and Spencer order...and they don't ship overseas! Did you go through their website or some other way? Am I doing something wrong?

Penguin - sometimes, when a thread hasn't been updated and you have read all of the posts, it says that in the little box that normally contains "Since your last view" or "Posts made today".

Third post for me today here. Figgered it's about time to say "Hi, All!"

As to the Irish Potato-headedness, I say Bah! The only indication of my heritage cuisinally is my luv of beers. I'm not crazy about German potato salad (potato...uh-oh; Tidbit, I was nowhere near the Beltway six years ago...), Viener Schnitzel is just okay and you can chase me down the street with Sauer Kraut. Now, you wanna talk Hungarian food, Mmmmmmmmm!

And Zeek, I think it was the idea of mugging to acquire said "goods" that made the leap to violence. "You take the shirt, I'll take the girl" would have been less offensive, but not by much. Unless it wuz me doing the posting. I'm too lovable to be misunderstood...
