Second!

msg's post made me remember a pic taken of me many, many years ago...like in 1988...
There's this statue of a terrapin (named Testudo)in front of McKeldin Library at U-MD,
and students a) rub its nose for luck before exams, and b) women have their topless pic taken riding astride him -

I have no idea where this picture is today...

NVGHOSTRIDER

Been a hard week. Dropped the kids off at daycare (first day). I hate the communal highchair seating to the babies. I hate PsychoBilly's reluctance with crowds. I hate friends that say one thing but do another. I hate the fact that I've been drunk every night since last Wednesday. I, me, my, I hate them too.

CMH really summed up the fatalist society one day long ago and thats when I knew someone understood alot of the underlaying truth that I am rarely afforded the opportunity to divulge to anyone. There are few people in the world I am capable or willing to share my sins with. I am not an evil person, but sometimes I cannot discern the line between good and evil. As much as I do hate myself, chewin' on a bullet ain't an option.

Someone (a troll) once asked, "Where will you losers be in five years when there is no more FFF.NET?" Honestly, I don't have a concrete answer for that question. I'm just glad that for now I know that when I come back to my senses y'all will be here.

Wait...wait...yes. I HAVE mentioned it. And I believe the exact phrasing was:

Different pic. And since YOU brought it up...If you weren't trying to elicit (I like the sound of that word...) said response from the admittedly sophomoric specimen before you, your pics, avies, sigs would look like this:

"Well, here I am...Does that seem right to you?"

You wanted to know?

Now you've crossed the line. Trying to elicit? Trying to elicit?

Quest, and the horse you rode in on.

EDIT: And on that unpleasant note, I'm leaving for the day. See (most of you) tomorrow.

Are we back to the Catherine the Great thing again?

First when I respond (appropriately in my view, at least after the desired fashion), I get called a Hormone. A hormone!!

So when I try to point out that perhaps YOU were the one eliciting (trying to soften the harsh-sounding words by adding "trying to") a specific response, I get a ten finger salute. (Kind of impressive, actually, but that's not my point...) I'm to be a Horse's Whore!

"What's the difference between a vitamin and a hormone?"

"You can't make a vita min."

I'm not laughing, and this will be the last "Mavourneen has responded to your message" you'll be receiving.

I tell you that you cross the line and you respond with wisecracks?

I don't think truly covers what I feel right now.

Why do I feel like I just stepped into the twilight zone? I have missed something here. How can there be laugther without the Laughter of Mavs? My head quite literally--no laughing matter--is spinning right now. The feeling you got as a kid when you spun in a circle and then tried to walk. I'm lost. How did I misunderstand and how was I so misunderstood?

It's probably just the Idaho potatoes he doesn't like and I don't blame him. I can't stand 'em myself. The potatoes I had when I went to Ireland, however, were yummy and actually tasted like something. See if he'll eat the red skinned ones.

The dislike of corned beef, however...that makes him suspect.

Who was it a while back that said that Irish food had a lack of spice? I was certainly happy with the Irish fare that I had. Very good stuff. I wouldn't go hungry in Ireland.

And Guinness. Mmmm.

Wow, it's still snowing? I haven't gotten any snow here...I know in PA there's like over a foot...Isn't this supposed to be March??

I can't agree with the not liking potatoes...they're probably my favorite food! Never really been fond of many other Irish-y foods though.

I think who ever said that got confused with England. The food there was kinda bland, even the Chinese takeout we had one night.

At the risk of getting barred from Ireland...I don't like Guinness. It's better than American beer, but I still don't like it. I'll stick with the Tullamore Dew. Yum!

It takes longer for me to catch up for the day on the Imponderables than I had available, so I just hung out on the short 'fun' threads that required little brain power as I had none to speak of but needed a distraction.

If it helps at all, I didn't see what was wrong there. Though I can't tell if Mavs is joking or not.

Maybe this is just a good day to lay low. Something's in the air.

Wow, that sounds familiar.

JoQu, sweetheart, you just don't know when to shut the fuck up.

Then someone gets angry / annoyed and you act as though you're completely innocent and misunderstood.

Then you do it all over again.

I don't presume to speak for Mavourneen, but you've done it to me on several occassions.

I rarely ever get "seriously upset."

I just speak honestly - it's the cold, calculating scientist part of me, I guess - and so, sometimes my honesty comes across as being "upset."
There is a world of difference.

So how is a jokester supposed to know that someone he normally jokes around with is actually angry/annoyed?

Especially when everyone knows that JQ is joking anytime he's typing.
