"Better Days", if I recall a description I saw but can't find right now, is about the crew getting a job that could make them enough coin to retire -- and the difficulties such a huge possibility causes for them.

My suspicion/speculation is that the tensions of such a heist will play out in a way that helps explain why Mal is so harsh and bitter at the start of the film.

Adam Hughes is tied to this, but he's only doing one of the covers. His covers, however, are supposed to make one large picture of the entire crew.
