Not at all. This is the part that really got me..."A few firefighters suffered minor injuries when the roof collapsed."

I'm still laughing, shame on me, but they wrote the article like it was an joke.

This is what made me get going
"Our protection of life policy extends to all living creatures," Francis said. "It's an emotional scene. When you have defenseless animals in danger, you see even the most seasoned veteran firefighter feel some melancholy."

Isn't that bizarre? don't get me wrong, i love animals, they truly are God's defenseless creatures (something my dad used to say) but I am allergic to cats and therefore not on my favorites list. dogs are great, but to die for animals? You gotta be higher than me on my worst bender....

Yes, it's wrong. It says something about the person you are when you find it funny that cats and dogs were burned to death in a fire.

I didn't find anything funny about it. And I suppose if you were there as a Firefighter, trying to battle the blaze, you wouldn't find anything funny about hearing poor defenseless animals crying and screaming in pain either.

No, Molly, I have more sense than to jump into a burning building to save some vermin and wildstock. I wonder, what do you think about my homepage:

It's the perfect response...I'd like to see more FF Fans tell all these self-appointed guardians of rightousness and troll-labeling to go piss off. Funny thing is though, they NEVER do...they're always there, commenting, insulting, and micro-analyzing every single word you post, only so they can get their pathetic nut off by either labeling you a troll, or by pointing out one possible error in a post where you may have stated many things...but they zoom in on anything they don't agree with..and are usually quite vile & trollish themselves.

Sorry- I agree with Molly on this one. Its not funny at all when animals or humans die in a fire. Nor is it funny when Fireman-who work hard and get paid crap, get hurt as well. I don't care if "WASPS" prefer animals rather then to humans- Thats not the issue here. The issue is- if the article as a whole is funny. And is it wrong that you find it funny.

Now BrooklynBrowncoat- I'm from Brooklyn.Don't give us Brooklynites a bad name by snarking it out. Everyone is entitled to their opinions.

Just because you don't agree with someone is not a reason to call em names. We are all browcoats here. You probally already know the meaning of "troll" so i won't bother to repeat it. If you don't like it around here-fuggetaboutit.You can leave.

I clicked your link before reading any posts generally looking for something funny. You started the thread so you get the response.

What part was funny, defenseless animals dieing or civil servants doing a dangerous job? At a minimum shouldn't a burning building be put out to protect the neighboring buildings and mitigate loss to the Owner.

Even if you aren't a pet person (which I'm not), you have to acknowledge all animals have a fear and flee response. It's hard to believe the terror dozens of animals went through has no value in your perspective which is what your post implies.

Wrong: Yes.

I call it ironic justice. I have a good friend who is a forensic entymologist and he told me that cats are dangerous. He said that if you have a dog all your life, and suddenly you die, and no one finds you for weeks, that dog will lie down and die next to you. However, if you have a cat all your life, and suddenly you die, and no one finds you for weeks, that cat will start eating you the minute it gets hungry.

After he told me that I quickly calle dmy wife's grandmother, who has a cat, just to check in. They're after us people, and this is the first step to keeping our elderly safe. Why do you think old women have so many cats? They're waiting to pounce.

You'll note that they convienently left out the "eating dead people" section of that musical. I doubt it would be so popular if it were more accurate.

It's possible. I'm a firm believer that one should never underestimate the ability of the darker side from leaking thru; after all, look at what happened to Anikan! In any case, I was mostly curious if you were still sending folks to the -same- baby seal site as the first time I noticed one of posts (not this thread... perhaps a month ago) or if you had found a new one. I gather from your comments, it is the same one.

As a general rule I avoid your threads, as the content does not generally interest me. However, I do feel that if I drop into a thread you've started, it is only reasonable to expect some shocking content; as well as a fair bit of baiting. If I'm not in the right mood, it just irritates me. Apparently, I'm not in an irritable mood today.

Knowledge; knowledge is a two edged sword, capable of the most civilized healing and the most barbaric of attrocities. The knowledge you seem to proffer seems to tend to the latter.

Entertainment... when you inject certain of your... material ... into other threads, threads which do not welcome this material, you fall from entertainment to harrassment. I realize you might not understand that fact, but it is true none the less.
