If you've never read or seen Fullmetal Alchemist you should really check it out, I cried a couple times during the series. It's about two brothers, thier mother dies so they decide to bring her back using alchemy. Long story short, they fail and one brother loses his right arm and left leg, and the other loses his entire body. So they go on a journey to correct thier mistakes and get their bodies back. It's really good sci-fi.
