Just Met Blue Hand #1 @ Target!

So I decided to take a walk over to my local Target to see if the Firefly DVDs were still selling for $19.99 (because I might be needing another set in the next few days), and as I was nearing the entrance a reasonably attractive couple was just leaving, pushing their cute toddler in a stroller.

As I passed them, the man's face rang a very loud bell, and I turned around just as they were turning around (They'd realized the elevator was in the other direction).

I gave the guy a very intent look and pointed at him...

"Are you an actor?"

His pre-occupied look vanished.

"Yeah!"

"Were you on Firefly?"

"Yeah!"

"You were one of the Hands of Blue guys!"

"Absolutely!"

"Boy, you're like the fourth... no, fifth Firefly cast member I've run into! And your name?"

"Jeff Ricketts. I was Blue Hand #1 in fact!"

"Well, sure! You had all the cool lines!"

"And I'm prettier! If you see Blue Hand #2, take cover, 'cause... Yikes!"
(Or some'n like that. I was busy repeating his name in my head.)

His wife was grinnin' ear-to-ear the whole time!

I remembered to give my name, and wished him continued success, then went on my merry.

Cool. He's also another Joss alumni who ended up on 24. He actually has the distinction of being the first person you see on the first ever episode of 24. And this was actually before FIREFLY.

He was the guy in Kuala Lumpar (sp?) who sent the info that David Palmer was planning on being assassinated that day to CTU.
