Why do we women love Mal?

That's an easy question to ask and complex one to answer.

Of course there are the obvious ones. He's one fine looking man. Tall, just the right amount of muscles for his frame and do I need to mention the tight pants. And the naked scene in Trash.

Beautiful hair, incredible blue eyes.

Then there's Mal's personality and there's lots of contradictions here. He's so devoted to his "family" and his personal code of honor, and despite his occupation he is a good man. He also seems to show that he would give as much as he got if you could get him into bed. What woman wouldn't like that?

He is also complicated,f rustrating, troubled and more than a bit lost. It seems to bring out the side of us that want to try to help him with his demons and make him whole again.

I could go on and on about each of these characteristics but I'll let you do that.

I don't think the question is why do we love him, but rather, what's not to love?

Seriously though, that is a good question. And I certainly agree with all the points you made. I'll add however that one of the things that I think attracts some women is the fact that Mal is a hero. The facade he likes to portray says otherwise, but somehow he always ends up saving the day. So perhaps he's more of an anti-hero. Either way, makes the gals go wild.

Edit: Oh, and you forgot about the shirtless scene in the BDM. Yowza.

You were busy trying to get yourself lit on fire. It happens.

Psst! Party's over here ('cause this is a double-thread post): http://fireflyfans.net/thread.asp?b=2&t=28148

Good point, though - very good point.
