Quote:Firefly 2: Take That! Whoo hoooo!!!!! Here's a movie title suggestion Firefly: And the Horse You Rode in On Wouldn't that look swell on a marquee? heh. And hey! Oklahellma is in the middle of the US -- y'all are all invited to come take over a theater here! And I got a theater all picked out -- it's right across the road from the Cowboy Hall of Fame. "But she was naked! And all...articulate!"

Also, I hope that, if "Firefly" returns, they go to a different network, like UPN or SciFi. UPN could use the ratings boost, and it would beat the hell out of anything else on that woebegotten network. However, if it were on SciFi, at least they would not be as inclined to kill it. And, if the new BSG series is also on SciFi, "Super Shiny!" B]

Quote: No arguments there. They don't have the resources of the four majors. However, they make their own programming all the time. They do manage to make SciFi Original movies all the time. Also, they produce other shows like SG-1 each week. While they are smaller than say Fox, we don't know how much money they have to throw around. So, in conclusion, who knows?

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.
Quote:The theatre is in Raleigh, NC. . .the capital city. It's near Downtown, near hotels, resturants and a large mall. I wonder what sort of response would be recieved from Browncoats wanting to host a massive premiere night gala there?

It's an old-style 'movie house' type theatre, with traditional architecture, but all the neccessary trappings for new movies, like Dolby Digital Surround Sound, or whatever the newest, greatest thing is. He usually only shows Independant feature films, stuff like that. . .stuff that doesn't usually make it to the multiplexes. . .HOWEVER. . . I'm fairly certain he could be convinced to make the investment into asking for a first-run copy of "Firefly". The theatre is in Raleigh, NC. . .the capital city.
