Ok, this is serious now- I just came back from the voting booth and I barely made it out alive. A large contiginent of Xena fans were waiting for me and demanded I vote for Xena or else. Rosie Odonnel was there eating carpet and twinkies, what a slob. Well, I said, I am a true FF patriot and will not vote for the hegemonic Xena, no way. They then proceed to chase me armed with plastic strap on phallises and closed fists. Then I realised this was only foreplay for them. Anytime you see one with a closed fist it's actually considered an erection to them, so I was safe.

Please people be careful when voting! the womyns' groups are out and getting aggresive. Next time I vote I'm bringing copies of Janis Joplin and Ellen Degeneres to act as a distraction as I vote.

I've been wondering if we were putting up the big numbers the same time as Xena because some of the Xena fans were voting for us too. It just seems strange. We were number 3 at the time and they probably saw Bonanza as the threat and so didn't mind voting for us....

Why not post the stats over there once a week, or several times a week? Get the competitive juices working. Explain to them how important it is to vote for a cancelled TV show in a meaningless poll....

As the only person I know who has access to whedonesque, what's the possibility of doing a once a week posting/reference to some of our tracking numbers; perhaps Flattops "first of the week" graphs and totals? Politically possible? Access suicide?

It varies widely. A bad day is 6-8. A good day is around 20. It all depends on how many computers I can get my hands on and whether my neighbor's unprotected wireless network is running (it goes down a lot).

Very likely access suicide. Whedonesque comes across as rather persnickety about the posts. But I can understand their position. A daily/weekly post (or even an attempt) about Firefly voting stats would get me removed.

Keep in mind that there are Buffy-fans-Firefly-HATERS on that site, too. They would make the most negative of noises about voting for Firefly. They did when Firefly beat Star Wars.

doh... "What's the votes/day bar set"...ok didn't answer the question asked.
-Minimum- around 120 per day; but you gonna have to keep it there around 2 years to get in ;-) Need about 200 to make a decent run. LHOP and Combat both ran around 300-400. H2H is running around 200, if you want to beat them up to the top, you'd need about 450/day.
