Wow prom explosion!!! LOL

Mav- ok I have one of those ( but it's royal blue and has one of those big white pilgim collars)

RIMG_ wow you have lovely taste ( in both clothing and women)...though I'm amazed you could access your prom pics so quickly. I'd have to dig though a drawer, find them, scan them into a computer, and put them in photobucket..

Flyvote- she's adorable:)

Jonny- umm hate to ask but what is a leisure suit?? Is it like sweatpants or something?

NV- you can look at whatever you want...giggle

Well I have finally caught up with the post happy coversations here. Man you guys have been gabby lately!

Lets see..... I went to 3 proms. Two just average suits that were with the same GF. She was a grade ahead of me. I was not in a good money flow for either so I cooked dinner both times. I used to love cooking. I fresh red sauce over chicken with angel hair pasta and french garlic bread for the first one. I fo some reason cannot remember what I made for the second one. Probably cuz we was having issues at that point and we broke up shortly after prom.

The third one I went in my Army Dress Blues (I actually bought Dress Blues cuz I hated the Greens)

All three were pretty boring once we got there though and we never stayed more than a couple of hours. Not my idea to leave for any of them either cuz I knew how important prom was to you ladies (but when they asked it was a resounding H@** YES!).

So "She" was moving yesterday while I was at the PB field in the next town. She asked if I wanted to see a movie but I didn't get back to town until 6:00PM. It actually worked out well, the not going, because I tweeked my back and had to display alot of pain management until going to bed. Its alot like being high for as long as it takes and I hate it. Hey at least you made a new friend:) That's always good Hobbleit

I had one of those though...guy I knew in class ( we were friends of a sort) and he had asked 5 different girls to go and they'd all turned him down. I just couldn't turn him down, I would have felt mean. So I made several other friends go with us. I lasted through dinner and an hour of the dance and then made Mike take all of us home ( taking my date home first) then Mike and I ended up sitting in the driveway of my house talking for hours after he'd dropped his date and mine off. Apparently his girlfriend had been calling his house for hours by the time he got home. She was so mad and dumped him the next day and refused to speak to either of us for months afterward

NV- ooh good to not be too available. Sorry about the back though. Hope you feel better sweety:) HUGS

Kel - my brother and I cooked for our dates in my senior (his junior) prom. Also, he had a matching pin striped zoot suit. I'll see if I can find a pic of us.

Speaking of zoot suits, I wore my sapphire blue one to the Pimp and Whore party last weekend (I had training all week so I guess I never talked about what a good time we had). My brothers were both in some pretty pimpin' suits as well. Someone got a picture of all of us, I need to try to track it down as well, for your enjoyment.

Speaking of photos (yes, I am getting way off track, but I really missed y'all last week), here is one of me from yesterday, showing off the shiny new bumper sticker I have on my car (closeup of sticker included):

MsG - I already had them on photobucket from having used them in the pic threads when I ran out of current pics

I did actually live up to the whore part of it, though it was not with the girl that I took to the party. She ended up just sleeping/cuddling with my best friend. There was a girl there who was all over him, but he wouldn't go for it, and when I went in to pick her up she had already gone. There was another there what would have been fun, though not too much of a challenge and also not the brightest crayon in the box. The girl I ended up with I didn't know from Eve, though Harley knew her, and I do trust that man with quite a lot.

I drank a lot of whiskey, and smoked a good bit (which I think is to blame for my entire lack of hangover). When we all got up the next day, we had the usual Tavern VI breakfast of sausage gravy and biscuits, then went outside for Easter morning gun time. First time I have ever fired a handgun in my life. He had a .45, a .380, and a .38 revolver. In addition to the handguns there was a very very illegal sawed off shotgun, a military issue urban camo Glock (I think it was a Glock at least, not sure, didn't fire it), my dad's .22, and an old infantry issue 30-06 rifle. It was a fun day.

Prom story time! Yippie I went to mine it was shite. Okay so not much fun. My date was one of my closest friends and that was awsome. I asked him first but he already had a date. I cried and felt awfull but then he dropped her to go with me.

Okay so fun story time. After quite a few beers with my buddies last night I decided that my friend and I should get in a fist fight. We did. He womped my silly arse but goodness was it fun. I have a huge red abrasion on my shoulder and an assortment of bruises. I love beer!

Better than a meth addiction .

As for a cool prom story, senior year I taught a swing dancing class. At prom, they played one swing song two different times. One time I danced with my date in the black and white dress. The other, I danced with the girl from the previous year, seen here in the red dress (remember, wearing nothing under it?). She was in a short little black number, and we effectively stopped prom to make them watch us dance (not to toot my own horn too much, but I was pretty damn good, and she was itty bitty, so I could toss her all around without any trouble at all).

EDIT: MsG, it would be an honor and a privilege to dance with you at D*C, and I will do what I can to let MrG see how much fun I am having whilst in your shiny company. (you just made my day)

It was great NV...
Yeah you two had best keep those handsome faces bruise free...

This made me chuckle
A young boy had just got his driver's permit and inquired of his father, an evangelist, if they could discuss the use of the car. His father took him to the study and said to the boy, "I'll make a deal with you, Son. You bring your grades up from a C to a B-average, study your Bible a little, and get your hair cut and we'll talk about the car."

The boy thought about that for a moment and decided that he'd best settle for the offer, and they agreed.

After about six weeks the boy came back and again asked his father about the car. Again they went to the study where his father said, "Son, I've been real proud of you. You've brought your grades up, and I've observed that you've been studying your Bible and participating a lot more in the Bible study class on Sunday morning. But I'm real disappointed seeing as you haven't got your hair cut."

The young man paused a moment and then said, "You know, Dad, I've been thinking about that, and I've noticed in my studies of the Bible that Sampson had long hair. Moses had long hair; John the Baptizer had long hair, and there's even strong argument that Jesus Himself had long hair."

To which his father replied, "You're right, son, and did you also notice that they all WALKED everywhere they went?"

I love that movie.

So I might have a date with "She" on Thursday night and have no idea what to do. We have never been on an actual date. Heck, its been a very long time since I've been on an actual date. Do I bring a gift? Flowers? What should I wear?

What really sucks it that I don't really have high hopes in going. Seems the track record will not permit it. Is that wrong?

No I think it's good you're cautious about this...that said, I think no flowers and such just yet. Go low key. Just something simple like moonlight picnic or maybe a relax- a- date:) I love those. You spread blankets and pillows on the floor, order in take out, and take turns giving back rubs and such. No overhead lights, just candles and quiet music and you just talk, nothing else, just talk. It's lovely!!!
