I've been alluding to negotiations for a special guest at the 23 June 2007 Can't Stop The Serenity event in North Texas. Now that we're locked in, I can now announce that Jane Espenson will be appearing at the event, at the Studio Movie Grill in Arlington.

Jane's name should be instantly familiar to fans of Joss Whedon's shows -- she was an executive producer on "Buffy The Vampire Slayer," one of the lead writers for "Angel," wrote "The Shindig" episode of "Firefly," and is currently a co-executive producer for "Battlestar Galactica."

She's also the co-editor of two books on SereniFly published by BenBella Books -- 'Finding Serenity' and 'Serenity 'Found.'

Jane doesn't get out of the office that often -- just look at her IMDb page to see how busy she's been. So, if you want a chance to talk to a real talent in the television industry (who put some of your favorite phrases in the mouths of your favorite characters), buy your tickets to the 2007 Can't Stop The Serenity event now. http://dallas.cantstoptheserenity.com
