Would you tell me, please which way I ought to walk from here?"
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to," said the Cat.
"I don't much care where," Alice added as an explanation.
"Oh, you're sure to do that," said the Cat, "if you only walk long enough."

Actually, it was just before 11. They had a blast. And last year he had had his pic taken in TS's car ($25) (a non racing version, obviously)and the pic didn't turn out - His friend who was there brought his copy, so now I've got a pic of him sitting in the #20 with a silly grin on his face.

Morning, morning, morning!

I had a FANTASTIC weekend. It was super busy and I didn't get nearly as much done as I should've but what the hell.

Saturday I worked with the photographer at the event (three-day horse show thingy). I thought I was going to be in the trailer all day sorting and printing the proofs, instead I got to ride the ATV quad thing all over hell and back. It was a blast...except for the dirt in my non-sadisitic socks...and getting the backs of my hands sunburned. But on the plus side, I no longer have a tan line from my riding gloves. After a long day of Quad riding, I rode my horse who was good, so much happiness.

Sunday I started with riding my horse, did some work at the barn, loaded up this other horse I've been riding and took him up to the show and "Schooled" (horsie term for practiced) the cross country course. It was my first time ever jumping real XC jumps and was in preparation for a little show I'm doing in 2 weeks. I figured I would do the tiniest jumps (6" or so) because I was going to do the walk/trot class. BUUUUTTTTT, I ended up jumping almost the entire beginner novice course (2'7") and will do that at the show...plus might do a real three phase horse trials in August. It was a blast. Weehaw!

He didn't go; she wasn't feeling well. It was no big deal. We had fun reading, etc. We went to a fair at his school, then to the large thrift store near us (it's one of the largest for about 100 miles) - We bought more books, and poked around. Then it rained, so we were inside for the rest of the day.

Hey as long as you had fun it's all good MAv.

Rugbug- wow that does sound like a blast. Oh we had the babies out riding. Annie rode on Tink ( the percheron) with Nana and Wyatt rode Diesel ( the clydesdale mix) with Cathy and they loved it. All Annie wants to do now is ride. Every time they go over to Nana's the first thing she does is saw " wide Nana wide??"

VE, you are so sweet, but it wasn't me.

But, I can tell you both my sister & I have used them, and their customer service & product is excellent. My pattern (Lenox Southern Vista) can be hard to find & I was able to get several pieces that I had never knew even existed. My sister uses my great grandmother's service from the turn of the century, and she was able to get several place settings, though it was discontinued in the 1920's.

Heheee...the girls got good sense, now doesn't she?

Only bad part of my weekend was that cute boy photographer of last show didn't seem interested this time. There was much electricity (though no time to do anything about it) the last time I worked. This time it was...meh. 'Course, I'm a huge dweeb when it comes to men, so there are many explanations.

1)I was way off in my assessment of the chemistry at the last show.
2) He's since met someone...he's a cutie and nicely shaped and it's been two months, so it's quite possible.
3) My fear that he was MUCH younger was justified, he heard how old I was and backed off
4) He thinks I'm not interested.
or the best one:
5)Main photographers fiance told him I'm a lesbian after an odd comment I made which could definitely be taken that way. (He asked me if I dated a lot and I said no. He said why not I said "I'm just not that type of girl" meaning 'I don't get asked out a lot' but could very easily be 'I'm into girls.' Oh well.

Why am I so LAME when it comes to men?

Aside: My mom has used replacements.com for her 30 some odd year old set of china. Me? I don't have china. I have fake Fiestaware from Wal-Mart. Do you think they'll have the yellow soup bowl my old roomie broke?

(I love my fake Fiestaware. It goes perfectly in my kitchen:

Sorry to hear that. I always enjoy what you post.

If I'm ever the one causing you to become cynical, fire a couple warning shots into my chest to get my attention, then confront me one-on-one. If I've ever bothered you, it was likely something I didn't communicate correctly. I've never intended you ill.

That can be said for a lot of people here. Be open in your communication. The message system doesn't convey innuendo well, and can be the source of misunderstanding.

I certainly wouldn't condone hair tugging. But if I were there I probably would have encouraged the designer to commit the act. Just to see the bloodshed. Then I'd feel bad. But I'd get over it.

Grrrr, Mavs. That's annoying. Men, listen up: Hair-do's take time. And they don't tolerate mussing with very well. Leave.the Hair. Alone.

Feeling ya on that one for sure. Had man comment on my carefully (for me) coiffed hair this weekend (I was trying to look sorta cute for photo-boy, but not 'trying-to-hard' cute...I was at a horseshow after all). Let's just say it's hard to come up with cute, horseshow friendly hair and guy was all 'just put this hat on?' Sheesh. I think I did an admirable job, but apparently for nothing. I should've just gone with the baseball cap and ponytail.

On hair, no tugging unless invited. General rule in my book (seein' as I too have long hair). I don't do that to other folks and ask that they don't to it to me.
Unless invited of course.

ADD: Girlie with baseball cap/ponytail on quad ranks right up there with a woman driving a pickup truck. Always gotta look twice.
