Mal does a slow number all alone in the cargo bay, leaning against various crates and dancing across the floor singing a sentimental tune called "I'm in love with a whore."

"Dear diary, today I was pompous and my sister was crazy."

"Jayne's Lament"

(opens with a thoughtful Jayne in the back of the cargo bay as it sits opened on a desert planet. He polishes Vera. A slow piano tune begins, and he looks out at the sky)

It's always you and me,
My honeybee,
My Vera.
Will it always be this way?
Can't have my say,
'Cept with Vera.
Nobody understands
I'm just tryin' to be a man.
But everybody runs away...

(Jayne leaps up, gripping Vera tightly and runs out into the desert with music getting faster and more dramatic as he dances and sings with more enthusiasm)

But I'm gonna have my day in the sun!
Gonna let 'em know I'm the one!
Gonna show 'em all what I've got!
Without me they're all just a lot
Of ruttin' fools!

Always helpin' that crazy girl,
Butcher's knife wielding girl,
Reading our minds!
Out of their ruttin'... minds!

(The music slows back down and Jayne gets sad again. He walks back into the cargo bay, sits down, and resumes polishing Vera as he continues to sing)

But if they ever do sense
The way that Ariel went
I won't ever get
My day in the sun!

(Jayne shakes his head sadly. End scene.)

"Dear diary, today I was pompous and my sister was crazy."

Jayne sitting in a bar ... feet up, singing a slow mournful tune ...
"The first time, ever I punched yer face.
Could have sworn I heard the bones go crunch.
Mal says, Jayne, you have done your best.
Now have some 'free soup' for lunch."

River's tune is sung to the theme of "Matchmaker"
"Butcher knife, butcher knife, make me some hack.
Find me some slash , hack me some hack.
Butcher knife, butcher knife, make me some slash and give me blue sun to hack.
The Captain hopes he can save us.
The Goon Squad, Jayne, He's sell us for cash.
The Shepherd, well he wouldn't hollar if Simon and Kaylee got up to some stuff."

Zoe and Wash have a latin styled number in the cargo bay singing to the theme of "America" from West Side Story.
Z: Everything's nice on Serenity. Living it nice on Serenity. Thieving is nice on Serenity. I love my life on Serenity.
W: The Captain rules my wife on Serenity. Alliance stalks through the black on Serenity. Niska's thugs nearly took my life on Serenity.

Kaylee sings to her engines a low lament.
"Tell me what you're feeling. Hold me in the embrace of your G's. I nearly lost you, I cannot hear your call."

Book's song is a song of faith in crisis.
"How can I call to thee, Lord? How can I find your light high out here in the blackest of the black? Can you hear me, God? Can you hear the servant who dwells with thieves?"

Simon bangs on the walls of his cabin as he sings:
"I threw it all away for her. I'd throw it all away again. Never did I think that our lives would become something weaving through the nothing of space. ... I threw it all away for her. I'd throw it all away again. Tell me, powers, tell me. Will I ever again see my sister's mind behind her face?"

Serenity sings:
You are my heart, my people.
You are my soul, my voice.
Tiny, delicate, beautiful people held inside the tender metal of my skin.
I'll keep you safe, my people.
I'll keep you warm and fed.
Tiny, delicate, beautiful people held inside the toughest metal of my skin.

Who else has songs for the big damn musical?

"Just keep walkin, preacher man."

I'm sure Duke doesn't need my defense, Kayleesman, but "take a pill and chill, honey.".
Your post did mention a stage production, but I don't think that posing a humorous thread about a musical counts as theft.
Should Robert Redford rip me and whoever else it was that both suggested "A River Runs Through It" as an alternative title for Serenity for stealing the name of his movie.
Relax and write a song already.

"Just keep walkin, preacher man."
