My theater was SOLD OUT for special Mother's Day Screening with free gift bag!

Hey a few more arrows showed up!

Waitress is showing in at least 65 theaters starting Friday, May 11, 2007 according to BoxOfficeMojo. Map shown is Mother's Day, Sunday May 13, 2007 See the imdb.com map of Waitress USA screenings http://imdb.com/title/tt0473308/cinemashowtimes

May be more. Some theaters don't list with Fandango. Check with your theaters. If they aren't screenings Waitress already...maybe they will take the hint.

STOWEAWAY

I am getting frustrated trying to find out info on the WIDE release.
A theater manager told me that Waitress would be opening in our town next Friday. (Not at her theater, mind you, but one in her chain)
I can't find anything that confirms that. And I have a large group of Browncoats waiting to hear. Anyone seen new info on the release? As of right now it's still just the free screenings.

Still in limited release. gossi on whedonesque said he thought Waitress was going to have a staggered release that may end up in 1000 theaters. So maybe more theaters next week.

Keep an eye on the imdb.com link Hopefully later this week theaters will post for next Friday.

Yeah, I was really looking forward to seeing it with my Mom and my sister. Theater did not sell tickets online and Saturday was the first time I had time enough to drive to the theater.

But yeah! It was SOLD OUT! WHOO-HOO!

No, but there is a release date for France...so why would they not show it at sometime in the UK.

There is money to be made.

I'm wondering if the estimates took into account all the Mother's Day screenings today. I hoping the real figures are even higher. The average could go down because some of the Mother's Day screenings are only 1 screening at 1 theater.

Looks like it came in a little over those prior estimations -- a per screen of $10K (compare that to Spider-Man's Week 2 per-screen of $13.6K) and $800K cumulative gross. Should be good news for a screen expansion...
