Wow, talk about a topic I know nothing about, hehe. I read a little online (in between my co-workers emailing me with various "look at this, look at this!!" emergencies, heh), and it looks like really interesting stuff, with a lot of documentation. You mentioned you put a picture of your grandma on the front of your dissertation -- did you have family in one of those towns?

Quite the impressive achievement, Hobbleit. Congrats again.

I wouldn't call it much harsher than normal.

I would call it asking "Excuse me?"

and

"Dude, WTF?"

Generally, I am not accustomed to being flipped off by Mr Q. And after I told him he was missed.

So don't worry about it, Zeek.
Thanks for worrying about my nicotine-free status, however.

Well I don't even think he meant it this way, but he just got asked to edit his post and then to post more by the same person. As a guy I can say that confusing messages can lead me to wanting to flip people off. So, it made sense to me as an "initial reaction *grrr*...then oh I guess I get what you mean *smile*" post.

Thanks for tryin', Zeek. That's what I get for reading Kaneman's latest posts, missing my meds and doing my least favorite chore all at the same time. If I suffer the world must suffer.

Mavs, you do righteous indignation better than anyone I know. ("I am not accustomed") Sometimes I think I bait you just for the pleasure of watching you go off.
(I mean just imagine the real fire in your eyes: )But I'm not that mean at heart.

And then the pout.

Just did all the grades for the last 3 weeks ( which have been so busy I haven't graded) and gotten them entered ( though I am not sure how well entered as I kept having to stop to deal with bickering snarly students)
Also, as we were at my brothers til way to late last night, grocery shopping still hasn't been done and I have no chocolate altoids...
OK crazy rant over now....
I think I shall check to see how many voicemails I have since I turned my cell off last night and haven't turned it on yet....

Hmmm Kelkhil I hadn't thought of it as a chocolate covered ginger snap..I may actually try it. I do dearly love ginger biscuits and such.

They're good. The chocolate, for me, is a throwaway. The Ginger's the thing. Ever tried regular Ginger Altoids? Yummy. If you like your ginger curiously strong.

EDIT: For hard-core ginger peeps. If you've ever tried rock ginger (spice) instead of ground (like you usually get), it's along that line. With sugar. Just like raw cinnamon ain't no good untils ya sweetens it.

One of my favorite things about (and what makes them good) ginger snaps was teh gingery burn afterwards.

I am not a big fan if ginger in anything else except ginger snaps and altoids.

Although I recently bought a Ginger Plum sauce that I used on a pork loin that was alright.

Glamour filled? That isn't Husband's cup of tea. He discovered through his last job he had a real knack for selling, installing, and repairing gas fireplaces.

At his age, he can't swing a hammer forever. Especially when companies can hire carpenters at half his age and half his salary needs.

And you have to have special state licensure to install & repair those things, as if you do it wrong...

So I'm listening to an archived Bombshelter show and DJ Dotcom is saying his goodbyes and telling the listeners to go back. Go back and remember Red Light, Green Light, Hop Scotch, Duck Duck Goose... and lists a few more kids games before shouting his love and saying goodnight. It felt good to have that feeling for a moment. But then the real world rushed back in to bite a butt cheek. It seems to be fairly recent since I've been secure singing and dancing in front of people. I could never do so even in front of family and friends.

On another strange note: My co-worker informs me that "She", after seeing another DB, got ignored and pretty much shit on by the afore mentioned DB. I guess she's been seein' him for near a month, (and never told me of course), and finally had sex with him. So aaparently he was "nice" and made conversation and was polite. Naturally he played the game and recieved his prize. And I sit here looking down on myself for not doing the same thing. It is all so predatory. Inhuman. It sickens me in ways indescribable. Jealous you may ask? A little. But also disappointed in the fact I could be so bent on someone dumb enough to fall for that shit. Yeah, it is a bit of a kharmatic bitch slap, but I feel no vindication in the least. I actually feel bad. WTF?!?!? I mean really. Why the f^*# should I care?

The longer that this goes on, the better the chance that he will be accidentally knocked on the head and sent through a wood chipper. Accidentally.

Hey, I like Dew as much as the next geek girl, though most days I rely on coffee for caffeine (mmmm, coffee). As a teenager I couldn't have anything carbonated, and even though I can now, I generally don't drink much soda. Usually just steal a bit of hubby's diet coke.

Hmmm... there's got to be a way to prove we aren't the same person...

You forgot good smelling and dead sexy.

Only one problem FMF. There is no clarification needed. He's a huge A-hole. Wouldn't you think he'd want to divorce you and begin his marital bliss with the inbreeder?
